The early years are vital for children who are deaf or hard of hearing, as access to sound and language shapes their development. The John Tracy Center's Parent-Infant Program provides essential early intervention services, empowering families with expert guidance and support. Children ages 0–3 receive personalized assistance to develop listening, spoken language, learning, and social skills, preparing them for success in school and beyond. By equipping parents with the tools to support their child's growth, the Center helps ensure access to transformative opportunities for families. Carrie Estelle Doheny Foundation is grateful to the John Tracy Center for their outstanding work improving the lives of children and families.

Upward Bound House has a mission to eliminate homelessness among families with children in LA. Their Bright Futures maternity group home program provides support to young moms who are navigating the difficult transition to independent living. Bright Futures aims to disrupt the intergenerational cycle of housing instability and foster care involvement among low-income Black and Brown families. Being able to exit a shelter to one’s own housing is a just a starting point; through stabilization services, UBH empowers families to create their own pathways, not just out of homelessness but out of poverty.

Today, we celebrate DePaul USA’s DAX Program! Established in 2015 in partnership with DePaul University, the DAX Program was created to combat college homelessness. It has since expanded to other cities, including Los Angeles, where it now supports students from 15 local universities. The LA DAX Program empowers housing-insecure college students to complete their education by providing transitional housing and a range of support services, including book stipends, tutoring, and transportation, and employment assistance. Thank you, DePaul USA, for making a positive impact on the lives of these deserving students!

We are grateful to partner with All Peoples Community Center and their Senior Food Delivery Program, which delivers groceries to more than 300 homebound seniors in the South LA community. For many older adults living on fixed incomes, rising food costs have made it increasingly difficult to keep their kitchens stocked. This program not only supplements their groceries - it helps ease food insecurity, reduce stress and ensures seniors have access to nutritious meals.
