In the age of AI, digital health solutions aren’t just “nice to have;” they’re a basic need. But too many countries are still stuck on paper-based, analog systems. How can digital innovations succeed? Through a "country ownership" approach.

By taking a “country ownership” approach, Nexleaf strives for “Scale That Lasts.” Today their tech protects the vaccine supply for 1 in 6 babies born worldwide each year. Learn more → https://ssir.org/articles/entry/scaling-global-health-innovations

Tanzania is leading the way on protecting vaccines during distribution.
It's all part of the story of how we achieve . ➡️

This , we are proud to share how Tanzania’s vaccine distribution system has improved with ColdTrace Transport. What started in 2 districts in 2022 scaled to cover all 31 regions of the country, improving vaccine safety and reducing wastage.

Thanks to real-time temperature monitoring, immunization officers can now track vaccine temperatures and take corrective action immediately when temperatures spike, preserving the potency of vaccines during transport.

This not only ensures better delivery of vaccines but also safeguards millions of lives.

It’s World Health Worker Week, and we’re celebrating the people that make : vaccine handlers, logisticians, nurses, regional & district vaccine officers, and the biomedical engineers and technicians who make sure vaccine refrigeration equipment is working properly.

Our ColdTrace data platform moves real-time data from the vaccine cold chain to support health workers as they transport vaccines across great distances and across low-infrastructure environments to reach every child with effective immunization. Exciting news! Nexleaf recently formalized our partnership with the Government of Malawi through 2027! Together with Malawi’s Expanded Programme for Immunization (EPI) and frontline health workers, Nexleaf is developing data-centered equipment management practices that will strengthen safe vaccine distribution to the last mile.

This partnership builds on years of collaboration, including the nationwide deployment of Nexleaf’s ColdTrace remote temperature monitoring (RTM) solution and the introduction of a course in cold chain data use at the Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS), supported by The Patrick J. McGovern Foundation. With Malawi leading the way, these methodologies will be scaled to help all Gavi-supported countries adopt data-centered cold chain management.

We’re proud to support Malawi’s leadership in leveraging data for stronger immunization systems. Read the full announcement here!

Globally, about 1 billion people seek healthcare from facilities with unreliable or no electricity. Nexleaf partnered with PagerDuty to send power alerts to hospital staff across Kenya to prevent deadly blackouts and deliver lifesaving care to patients. This work is a great example of how real-time data can transform power management at health facilities, building trust in the systems that underpin healthcare.

Check out the video featuring our co-founders Nithya Ramanathan and Martin Lukac and our Director of Emerging Products Ednah Kiome and PagerDuty's resource page on our collaboration! 👉 bit.ly/3QYkSHQ
