ABOUT EMPOWERCON
EmpowerCon was created with the idea of providing a one-day elevating experience that will lead attendees to admit their shortcomings in their career and personal life, ask professionals, each other, and themselves what needs to be done to achieve their goals, and the day’s exercises to adjust their outlook towards work and life, in an attempt to create an impact that will last well beyond August 31st.
Unsugarcoated Media and Reach Out Together have collaborated to bring in some of the most prestigious speakers, from Emmy award winners to world-record breakers, in an attempt to have as meaningful an impact on attendees as possible. By incorporating a diverse set of entrepreneurial speakers, EmpowerCon will provide meaningful life insight to anyone in attendance, regardless of their background. EmpowerCon 2019 worked in partnership with a charitable organization of choice: the East Los Angeles Women’s Center.
At EmpowerCon, participants will hear from a leading team of experts that have personally overcome obstacles beyond imagination, living a life empowered and in turn empowering others.

@EmpowerCon2019 is an event that has partnered with a charitable organization of choice: East Los Angeles Women’s Center. The East Los Angeles Women’s Center is a leading voice and advocate for survivors and their families affected by sexual, domestic, and intimate partner violence and HIV/AIDS.
In 1976 a small group of dedicated Latinas in East Los Angeles established the first-in-the-nation bilingual hotline for Spanish–speaking survivors of sexual assault. Today, ELAWC delivers innovative, comprehensive, culturally-responsive services that build on a foundation of trauma-informed, evidence-based practices designed to heal, support, protect, and empower the communities we serve.
Working in collaboration with our partners we also foster the implementation of policies and practices that support social justice and human rights. ELAWC has earned a reputation as a trusted and compassionate resource working to empower and transform lives – and the lives of future generations.
