A Dynamic Performance by A Dynamic Duo

Dynamic Duo Performs Devilishly Naughty

Night One: Devilish Play Does Not
Disappoint

One Play. One Act. One Word. SUCCESS.

“The hour-long tragic-comedy play performed by Sergio Serdio & Henry “La ComadreJAJA” received a lasting applause from the audience after the first of three performances.

“El Diablo En El Jardín” which translates to “The Devil in the Garden” is a play originally written in 1976 by writer, Alejandro Licona. The two performers gave their rendition of the play in one swift act while switching from character to character instantaneously.

The play is entirely spoken in Spanish while a TV screen is displaying the English translation in real-time.

The play is set for two more nights at changing hours. On Saturday September 12, the play is scheduled for 7pm while the Sunday September 13 performance is scheduled for 6pm.

The play is free to the community on both days and is hosted in Boyle Heights’ OPENLA Community Space.”
