PrEP is a daily medicine that can reduce the risk of becoming infected with HIV. With PrEP, if you do get exposed to HIV, the medicine can stop HIV from taking hold and spreading throughout your body. PEP is a short course of HIV medicines taken very soon AFTER a possible exposure to HIV to prevent the virus from taking hold in your body. You should always consult your doctor about any health concerns you have. They are the only ones who can determine whether or not PrEP or PEP is the best treatment option for you.

Transgender Day of Remembrance is an annual observance on November 20 that honors the memory of the transgender people whose lives were lost in acts of anti-transgender violence. Today, we remember the beautiful lives that were stolen to trans-violence this year, 2022. There's a life and a story behind every face.

PEP, or post-exposure prophylaxis, is a short course of HIV medicines taken very soon after a possible exposure to HIV to prevent the virus from taking hold in your body. You must start it within 72 hours (3 days) after a possible exposure to HIV, or it won't work. Every hour counts.

Our Story

Project 90, otherwise known as P90, is a six month non-profit program offered by the L.A. CADA Downtown Outpatient and HIV Services Center. The program provides HIV testing and post-test counseling, substance abuse treatment, linkage to housing, food resources, and mindfulness workshops. We also provide admission to our Hope Vault, supportive services, and peer support. The ultimate goal of this project is to reduce the risk of HIV an s*xually transmitted infections (STIs), reduce substance misuse and introduce/maintain mental and physical wellness and well-being.

Signing up with P90 means increasing your support system, or introducing a support system into to your life if you’ve never had one. With the way things are nowadays, it is important to have a sense of backing, and people to call on for help. People who will always accept you for who you are, and will help you help yourself. We are a community. Its time to become a stronger one!
