The Trump administrations New Year's Resolution is to plunder California resources. They should be focused on working as hard as us for solutions. Be prepared to protest in the name of our ethical, technological and economic strength.

"US Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke said the US would undo an Obama-era action and explore new offshore oil drilling, including off the coast of California"

Is the White House declaring a policy war on California? - CNN

It's Washington versus California on ma*****na, climate change, offshore oil drilling and immigration this week as bubbling disagreements between President Donald Trump's administration and California all seemed to spill over at once.

Does "America first" still mean sustainability and progress for America? After his July visit to Paris, President Trump is still reluctant to keep 2020 Paris Climate Agreement commitments. This article describes those commitments well:
https://mobile.nytimes.com/2017/05/09/climate/paris-climate-agreement-kyoto-protocol.html

The Paris accord provides its members with more flexibility than the earlier Kyoto Protocol, an argument for those who want the United States to remain in the deal.

To the water protectors at the North Dakota Access Pipeline site and the authorities challenging the physical presence of earth's conscience, trust that truth will prevail in the struggle for a sustainable future. There is no greater pain than to destroy the earths and our own ability to sustain us.

No pollution is better than acceptable levels of pollution.

No risk of a spill is better than some risk of a spill.

Get active!

Today over 3,500 men women and children from throughout the Los Angeles area, some from Orange County and Ventura County flooded the streets of downtown Los Angeles. We gathered at the Army Corps of Engineers office building, right across the street from the still being constructed Wilshire Grand the tallest building on the West Coast.

This event was co-sponsored by Sacred Places Institute for Indigenous Peoples, American Indian Movement (AIM) SoCal, Native Voice Network, Indigenous Peoples Day LA Coalition, American Indian Community Council, Semillas Del Pueblo, Idle No More Venice/Los Angeles, Wishtoyo Chumash Foundation, March and Rally Los Angeles, WilderUtopia, Tar Sands Action SoCal, California Nurses Association, Greenpeace Los Angeles, Center for Biological Diversity, Food & Water Watch California, and Labor for Standing Rock. Large contingents from each of those groups and many others turned out.

Kudos to the organizing team of Leah Garland, Mark Morris, Sabina Virgo, Ronni Solman and Jack Eidt along with Lydian Ponce of AIM Socal and many representatives of the other indigenous groups for their outstanding efforts as well as Walker Foley, Marta Segura and several other stalwart activists on the ground today.
