⚔️ St. Michael the Archangel — Who is like God? ⚔️

Today, on the Solemnity of Saint Michael the Archangel, we entrust ourselves anew to his powerful intercession.

Saint Michael is among the patron saints of the Friars Poor of Jesus Christ, and his example has a particular place in our spirituality. As a community, we embrace a militial spirituality—a spirituality of spiritual warfare: standing firmly with Christ, resisting evil, defending the truth, and fighting not against persons, but against the powers that seek to turn hearts away from God.

Our battle is ultimately the Lord’s.
Our strength is Christ.
Our victory is fidelity to Him.

“Who is like God?” — Quis ut Deus?

“Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.”

Teach us to remain faithful, courageous, humble, and wholly given to Jesus.

The Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross

“We adore Thee, O Christ, and we bless Thee, because by Thy Holy Cross Thou hast redeemed the world.”

The Cross is not defeat, but victory. It is the throne from which Christ reigns, the altar of His sacrifice, and the path by which He leads us to eternal life.

May we never be ashamed of the Cross, but embrace it with faith, love, and hope, knowing that through the Cross we are brought into the glory of the Resurrection.

O Crux, ave, spes unica.
Hail, O Cross, our only hope.

In the heart of the streets, Christ waits to be encountered.

Through the Street Ministry - Anawim Mission, we go out to meet Him in the poor, the forgotten, and the wounded—offering not only material help, but a presence filled with charity, dignity, and hope.

Come walk with us. Come pray with us. Come serve with us.

“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” (Mt 5:3)

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You have faith in God.” John 14:1

Even in the simplicity of this moment, He reminds us that peace is found in trust.
