NUEA West

Hello NUEA members! 💜

You may have noticed some changes to the page in our bio recently, or heard whisperings that we are showcasing an updated collection of alumni work online!

https://linktr.ee/nueawest

Stories and posts have a short-lived audience, so links to your work will live on this page for an extended period of time.

This is a chance to get more eyes on your films, TV shows, web series, podcasts, and even music. We encourage you to check out each other’s projects, connect with fellow alumni you’re impressed by, and dm us if you’d like to be added!

Some guidelines: we ask that you submit work created or distributed recently (within the last 3 years), or if it is ongoing, that it has been updated within the last 3 months preference is given to work created, directed, produced, written, or otherwise led by alumni based in Los Angeles or California (putting the West in NUEA West).

Either send us a link directly to stream or a landing page, and as always reach out if you have any questions or suggestions.

Go ‘Cats!

The Rabbit Hole is the debut feature film from filmmaker and NU c/o 2023 Alum Sam Jonas and it is having its west coast premiere TONIGHT at 7:15 at the LOOK Cinemas in Glendale!

Tickets: https://www.lookcinemas.com/glendale/movie/rabbit-hole-w-sam-jonas-qa/
Look Cinemas Glendale
Wed, Nov 12 | 7:15 pm

It was made with a primary crew of 3 people, also NU Alums, producer Nick Schoenbrodt c/o‘23 and sound recordist Nick Kapp c/o ‘25. They shot the majority of the film in Jonas’s 200 square-foot NYC studio apartment. The film was written, directed, edited, shot, production designed, and sound mixed by Jonas. It is an “independent film” in the truest sense of the phrase. The film works to contextualize human’s relationship to each other, civilization, and the natural world, and questions whether we exist in harmony with it/each other, or are actively destroying our only home while distorting our collective sense of self. All in all, seven Northwestern Alums worked on the film and it had it World Premiere at the Brooklyn Film Festival!
