If you could do anything for me this Christmas. Im asking for you to share this with as many outreaches, soup kitchens, shelters, and nursing homes you can find. I need help getting this across the United states. Anyones help would be very much appreciated!
With Christmas right around the coroner im hoping someone will recognize my mom. Her name is Cloudia Leslie Wells. Her family calls her Leslie. Unfortunately she uses many diffrent aliases. So its a good possibility she's not using her real name at all. This Christmas will be 31 years since I last seen my mom. However we know she was in a shelter in San Diego, California in 1998. We know she was in Santa Monica during a homeless count in 2013. Ive been to California serveral times searching our homeless community with no luck.
But please hear me out.. Just because she was last seen homeless dose not mean she still is. My mom has always been a drifter. She has lived homeless and she has also lived a glamorous life style. Either version could be true today. My mom has always been a traveler and there isn't a state she hasnt been two. So she could be absolutely anywhere. As hard as I've tried to find her i just can't. Some say maybe she dont want to be found. But giving up isn't in my vocabulary. Even if she were to turn me away. My Christmas miracle would be to look her in the eyes and tell her how very much I love her. I know with our privacy laws some can't tell me if they have seen her or you could loose your jobs. But its Christmas time what if it were your mom, dad, son, or daughter and no one would tell you? Please be my eyes if your out shopping, feeding someone less fortunate, working or visiting a nursing home or even traveling. Heck she could be your neighbor or friend. Im really trying to stay hopeful. But with Christmas fast approaching im finding myself more depressed than usual.
