Mt. Washington Homeowners Alliance The Mount Washington Homeowners Alliance ("MWHA") is a voluntary homeowners association for residents of the Mt. Mt.

Washington district of the City of Los Angeles, California. Washington is a suburban residential community in the northeastern part of the city of Los Angleles, California, wedged between and rising over 800 feet above the valleys of the Los Angeles River and Arroyo Seco. The Mount Washington Homeowners Alliance ("MWHA") seeks to protect, enhance, and improve the quality of life in Mount Washingto

n and to support its partner communities of Glassell Park, Highland Park, Cypress Park and Sycamore Terrace. While voting membership in the Alliance is reserved to homeowners within the Mount Washington boundaries, other community residents are also encouraged to join in order to keep aware of community activities and participate in Alliance projects. The MWHA is committed to responsible development of the hillsides, in accordance with the Mount Washington/Glassell Park Specific Plan of the City of Los Angeles, development that preserves the unique architecture and community life of the neighborhood while also preserving high quality natural habitat and open space. We look forward to seeing you on January 26 at our first membership meeting of 2026. The meeting will be at the Garibaldina, 4533 N Figueroa at 7pm.
Our CD1 Councilmember, Eunisses Hernandez, will be joining us to speak about what’s happening in our district. We have asked her to speak specifically about SB79, updates on street repairs, the recent City Council Zone Zero vote, and more.
She will also be swearing in our new Board! Please come say hello and congratulate our new Board members.
All are welcome to attend our membership meetings.

Greetings Mount Washington!
Your 2026 renewal info and ballots are on their way to your mailboxes.

Memberships are by calendar year. If you haven’t already signed up for 2026, now is the time!

You can sign up using the envelope and form we sent you in the mail -OR- you can sign up ONLINE at https://www.mwha.us/join-us

Our membership fees remain affordable - $12/year Seniors, $25 for one, $35 household.

As you know, this is the best deal in town! 6 meetings, 6 newsletters, Summer Fun, Native Plant Sale, Jack Smith Walk, Blood Drive, updates via email, volunteer opportunities, and access to tons of neighborhood knowledge and advice.

At our first meeting of 2026, on January 26, Councilmember Eunisses Hernandez will be swearing in our new Board. We look forward to seeing you there!

In the meantime, please send in your ballots and renewals. If you don’t receive them in the mail by the end of this week, do let us know.

This is the first workshop in a series we’ll be hosting to develop a conceptual plan for Rainbow Canyon with @mtwashingtonalliance@usclandarchurbanism @mrcaparks
