The Chrysalis Butterfly Ball is this Saturday, and our Online Auction is officially live.

This week, Citizens Bank brought its Credo Week of Giving to Chrysalis, with employees volunteering their time to assemble 800 confidence kits for individuals navigating barriers to employment.

These kits are designed to support clients on the day of an important milestone or consequential meeting, such as a job interview, first day of work, housing appointment, court hearing, and more. They provide practical resources and essential items to help individuals feel confident and prepared as they work toward securing, maintaining, and advancing employment opportunities.

We appreciate the Citizens Bank team for investing their time and resources in workforce development and helping Chrysalis provide the tools people need to take their next step toward employment.

LA Magazine is highlighting the 2026 Chrysalis Butterfly Ball.

This year, the cast of New Girl will receive the inaugural Rising Phoenix Award, recognizing a message that connects closely to Chrysalis’ work: a difficult chapter does not have to determine what comes next.

Chrysalis helps individuals navigating barriers to employment prepare for, find and retain employment, creating pathways toward greater stability and opportunity.

What’s inside Chrysalis?

For our Works Crew, cleaning our communities is more than a job. It’s an opportunity to build skills, gain work experience and take another step toward stability.

Chrysalis helps people navigating barriers to the workforce through job-readiness services, individualized support and paid transitional employment.

Through Chrysalis Works, our clients gain hands-on experience while helping keep communities across Los Angeles clean and maintained. Our Works Crew provides services including litter abatement, trash removal, graffiti removal and pressure washing.

At MacArthur Park, that work has a direct impact on the community and the people who live, work and spend time here.

We’re proud of the work our Works Crew does every day and grateful to our partners who make this work possible.

For Lev, change began with admitting that the way he had been living was no longer working.

“I’m 215 days clean and sober. I surrendered. My way didn’t work.”

Since then, Lev has been learning how to show up differently. He talks about consistency, staying connected and being willing to ask for help. Those lessons have carried into his work and the life he is building now.

He describes it another way: a pizza.

“The foundation, the dough... for me, my recovery is that. By me being sober and clean, I’m able to have infinite possibilities.”

What comes next is still being written.
