Downtown organized. The City is listening. Now we need your voice again.

Open-air drug use and sales are one of the top concerns that Mayor Bass’s office has heard from Downtown residents and stakeholders this year. Her team just launched a new DTLA public safety working group, and they’re asking residents directly: which interventions do you actually support or oppose?

We put together a short survey (3 to 4 minutes) covering everything from foot patrols to treatment to housing to cleanup, so your answer informs our answer to City Hall. You can stay anonymous or give direct input via the survey.

This is how Downtown residents shape real policy: 700+ of you took our 2025 survey, 100+ showed up at City Hall, and it led to $4M for foot beat patrols and $500K a new Downtown Vacant to Vibrant program. Let’s keep that momentum going.

Share this with your neighbors. The more voices, the stronger we can advocate for a better Downtown.

Join us for Third Thursday on the rooftop at
Broadway’s The Hoxton

Enjoy the long days, great weather, and spectacular Downtown views with neighbors at Hoxton Hotel on Broadway. Food and drink will be available for purchase.

This 1922 Beaux Arts building, formerly the Los Angeles Railway Building, was built in 1922 and originally designed as the headquarters for the old L.A. Railway streetcar company. The structure later saw use as a garment manufacturer, a candy shop, and a grocery store. It opened as the Hoxton Hotel in 2019 after two years of careful restoration and updates.

We’ll share updates on upcoming Downtown events, plans for the fall election run-offs, and how to apply for Resident Association committee opportunities this summer.

Hope to see you at this historic gem!

It’s been a wild few weeks leading up to Election Day and DTLA RA has been busy making sure Downtowners got in front of candidates and more importantly, voted! 🗳️ We will be sharing some insights about the election results, Downtown voter turnout stats (way higher than previous elections 👏🏾 ) and next steps as we head into runoffs.

LA is feeling electric today as we get ready to host our first World Cup game… Go 🇺🇸!! There’s soooo much going on this weekend but before you get fully immersed in the games, we’d like to catch your attention to share how excited we are about our next Third Thursdays mixer!

Join us next Thursday 6/18 to celebrate Juneteenth at one of DTLA’s newest cocktail bars, Sincerely Yours — a Black-owned business curated and owned by favorite long-time DTLA DJ and hospitality leader Earry Hall. Food is available as part of their rotating seasonal chef residencies. Enjoy music, drinks, bites, and neighbors while we help usher in this new community space!

Third Thursdays is your best opportunity to get together with DTLA locals, chat about all things DTLA, meet your neighbors and support your local establishments.

DTLA is a sleeping giant with 90,000 residents 💪🌆💪

Our power is real, but only if we show up and vote. That’s how we get the public safety resources, clean streets, parks, and schools we deserve.

Voting is happening now and races are close. The Mayor’s race is a statistical three-way tie. 🗳️

Mail in your ballot, drop it off at a ballot box including Central Library or Little Tokyo Library, or vote in person at a Downtown vote center like the Millennium Biltmore Hotel through June 2. 📍

When Downtown LA votes, our community thrives. Use the vote center locator in our bio to find a polling site near you. 🔗

Your neighborhood. Your vote. All in one room.

DTLA RA’s final Candidate Meet & Greet of the primary is next Thursday, May 21 at the brand-new Moxy Hotel in South Park from 6 to 8pm.

2026 is a major election year that will define the future of DTLA.

We’re bringing candidates and constituents together the way it should be done: no speeches, no fundraising, no endorsements. Just real conversations.

We typically draw 150 to 350 Downtown residents and community leaders. It’s exactly the room candidates need to be in, and exactly the access Downtown voters like you deserve.

At 7:15pm, we’ll recognize all candidates and teams in attendance. The floor stays with you and your neighbors the rest of the night.

All ages welcome. RSVP at the link (Code of Conduct applies).

📍 1260 S Figueroa St | ⏰ 6-8pm

All candidates have been invited from the 🗳️ Mayor, County Supervisor, CD1 & CD9, City Attorney, State Senate & Assembly, Governor, Sheriff, LAUSD Board D2, and we’ve received RSVPs from over 50 candidates already!

Thanks for this community collab!
