𝙎𝙪𝙢𝙢𝙚𝙧 𝘾𝙖𝙢𝙥 𝘾𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙤𝙧 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙏𝙬𝙤! 🤝

Our second half of counselors and junior counselors joined us last Saturday at Union Church LA, and we loved getting to see everyone in person!💞 Using the feedback from last training, we made this one even better and more succinct. It’s always inspiring to see our returners take care of the first-timers and see them collaborate on our 2026 workshop presentations!👏

We absolutely cannot wait to work with this amazing group of youth and young adults this summer☀️😎

We are ONE MONTH away from our 2026 Summer Camps, so it’s time to reflect on all of the hilarious and fun moments from last year.🤣👏💞

Many of these clips are from our Counselor Talent Show, where our young staff are not afraid to take the stage in order to put smiles on our campers faces. 🎤😎 Other clips are from our Little Tokyo Field Trip, where groups can earn extra points from filming a rap video about Kizuna and Little Tokyo. Either way, we had so much fun and it’s almost time to have another wonderful summer! ☀️

It truly feels like Summer Camp has started because we just had our first Counselor training last Saturday (May 9)!! ☀️💞🤩

Not only did we get to reunite with very familiar faces, we were able to meet our brand new counselors and junior counselors for the first time! 📝 With eagerness to learn and much needed enthusiasm, our high school and college students soaked up all of our training information and even practiced presenting summer camp workshops with each other! (You get a sneak peek of what’s in store for 2026👀☀️)

So thankful for this wonderful group of youth & young adults! 👏

Happy 𝙆𝙤𝙙𝙤𝙢𝙤 𝙉𝙤 𝙃𝙞, 𝙤𝙧 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙣’𝙨 𝘿𝙖𝙮! 🎏💞

This past Sunday, we had the most amazing time, bringing back Chibi-K: Kids Fun Run after 15 LONG YEARS! 🥹🤩 So proud of the group effort that it took to accomplish this 👏🏃‍♀️💨

And we finished the day off by making buttons at the Children’s Day event on the Plaza! 💮 It’s always amazing to be a community partner to this event and bring smiles to families from all around! 😊

This past Sunday, January 25, we were so honored to receive the Community Organization Recognition Award from at their 2026 Installation of Officers & Awards Luncheon!✨

Thank you so much to Mason A. for speaking about his experiences as a Kizuna participant; it’s been amazing to watch you grow as a leader in the JA community and we’re so glad that we were able to connect you to important parts of your identity. We had a wonderful time at this event, so thank you so much again to 🥰
