The last few days have truly emphasized how closely food security and housing stability go hand in hand. That’s why we’re here to tackle both. When families have access to nutritious food and stable housing, they have a stronger foundation to thrive. No family should have to choose between keeping a roof over their head and putting food on the table. WELCOME HOME TO THIS VETERAN!!! Can you believe he served in Vietnam war? It’s heartbreaking to think that so many of our nation’s veterans are experiencing homelessness.

Mr. Jackson served our country during the Vietnam War, yet for the last six years, he didn’t have a place to call home.

This morning, that changed.

Today, we had the honor of handing Mr. Jackson the keys to his very own apartment. Watching him walk into his new home was a reminder of why this work matters so much.

No one who has served our country should have to wonder where they’ll sleep at night. Everyone deserves dignity, safety, and a place to call home.

Congratulations, Mr. Jackson. We’re so honored to be part of your journey. Welcome home. ❤️🏡🇺🇸

THE COMMUNITY CONNECTION is back, and we need your help! 💙🧡

Join us on Thursday, August 13, from 10:00 AM–1:00 PM at The Serving Spoon for FREE groceries and back-to-school backpacks while supplies last.

We’re also looking for volunteers to help make this event possible. Whether you’re helping with setup, distributing groceries, handing out backpacks, greeting families, or keeping the event running smoothly, your time can make a real difference.
