Green career pathways need strong students, strong educators, and strong partnerships.

USGBC California is proud to partner with The California State University system and the Foundation for California Community Colleges to help expand green career pathways for more than 2.5 million students across California.

This collaboration connects education, workforce development, and climate action, helping students explore careers and skills tied to sustainable buildings, clean energy, resilience, and healthier communities. It also creates space for staff and faculty to grow their professional skills, deepen their sustainability knowledge, and build peer-to-peer networks across California’s green building community.

Because preparing the next generation of green building leaders also means supporting the people helping them get there.

Wildfire preparedness starts at home, and small changes can make a real difference.

We're offering free, confidential Wildfire Home Hardening Assessments for residents in Los Angeles and Orange County within Rivers & Mountains Conservancy territory (https://rmc.ca.gov/territory/).

This program is part of our partnership with the San Gabriel & Lower Los Angeles Rivers & Mountains Conservancy and is designed to help homeowners better understand wildfire risks around their property.

Each assessment includes a two-hour exterior walkthrough led by our trained GBC Ambassadors, who will:
- Evaluate defensible space and structural vulnerabilities, including vents, roofing, decks, and other exterior conditions
- Provide practical recommendations to help reduce ignition risks
- Deliver a customized digital report for the homeowner’s private use

The assessments also give our ambassadors hands-on experience as they build the skills needed to become the next generation of fire professionals.

Limited spots are available. Sign up here: https://forms.monday.com/forms/f08d2a76f1908babef8fa13354829369?r=use1
