We want to thank Mayor Karen Bass and Los Angeles Department of Water & Power CEO & Chief Engineer Janisse Quiñones for their leadership in support of our Transportation Electrification Partnership (TEP) and Clean Energy Partnership (CEP) goals. We look forward to working with them in these next crucial years ahead of 2028 to continue to advance our ZE transportation and clean energy goals!
âś… Hit our goal to create more than 100,000 green jobs an entire year early.
✅ Increased L.A.’s EV charging infrastructure
âś… Worked to reduce emissions with the goal of hitting 100% clean energy by 2035.
What else have we accomplished this year to build a greener LA?
⚡️We’re getting cleaner energy, cheaper — just last month we opened a new large-scale solar installation and battery storage system, which means cheaper and cleaner power for more than 250,000 homes.
🌧️ More rain means more opportunity – and we CANNOT waste our most precious resource. Since I took office, LA has captured 82 billion gallons of rain water – that’s 63 billion gallons more than the two years prior. The City’s water demand per person has also DECREASED 20 gallons per person over the past decade.
🚛 Down in San Pedro, more than 400 zero emission heavy duty trucks have been added this year to the Port of Los Angeles’ truck registry, moving forward on the goal of using all zero emission trucks at the Port by 2035. Thanks to close federal partnership, we also helped secure the single largest federal environmental investment the Port has ever received.
🤝 We’ve made good progress this year to combat the climate crisis – MORE green jobs, MORE green infrastructure, and MORE clean power that’s cheaper for L.A.
