Today was our first day of Safe and Sound week, where we passed out badges and asked employees to make a safety pledge for the week. Here are just a couple examples of the pledges our employees made:

“Pay attention to your surroundings — keep others aware of potential hazards. Stay courteous and professional and appreciate the differences in people!”

Join us in participating in Safe + Sound Week, a nationwide event held each August that recognizes the successes of workplace health and safety programs and offers information and ideas on how to keep America's workers safe. This year Safe + Sound Week will provide resources for businesses on mental health and well-being.

Why Participate? Successful safety and health programs can proactively identify and manage workplace hazards before they cause injury or illness, improving sustainability and the bottom line. Participating in Safe + Sound Week can help get your program started, energize an existing one, or provide a chance to recognize your safety successes.

Who Participates?ďż˝ All organizations looking for an opportunity to recognize their commitment to safety are welcome to participate. Last year, more than 3,300 businesses helped to raise awareness about workers' health and safety!

"In order to become soundly virtuous, it is advisable to make good practical resolutions concerning particular acts of the virtues and to be faithful in carrying them out afterwards.
Without doing that, one is often virtuous only in one’s imagination."
-St.

to our Annual Meeting held at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. We had over 300 Vincentians in attendance who gathered in communion and to celebrate our achievements.

Some of the highlights of the day included the St. Francis drum line leading Vincentians from Mass to the school hall for the meeting. This set an energetic tone for the day’s events to follow.

Guests were asked to bring a memento or photo of their first communion to share and reflect at their table. Everyone enjoyed this and we even heard Vincentians say that they loved the spirituality of that reflection and sharing, as well as being at “home” at St. Vincent de Paul Church.

It was a beautiful day and we send blessings to all that attended. A special thank you to our sponsors, CHP (Sargent Rubio and Officer Gomez), Casa Milagrosa, and Circle V Ranch Camp.

“We should wait in silence for the gifts of the Spirit.
Mary was in the upper room with the apostles.
She kept silence while awaiting the descent of the Spirit.”
