Sabemos que nuestra comunidad está preocupada por los reportes de un posible aumento de operativos migratorios en Los Ángeles.

Los agentes federales vistos en Skid Row el jueves 8 de octubre participaron en un operativo apoyado por el LAPD para arrestar a personas involucradas en la supuesta venta de narcóticos de alto nivel. Según el LAPD, no fue un operativo de inmigración.

We know our community is concerned about reports of increased ICE presence in the Los Angeles region.

Federal agents seen in Skid Row & Santee Alley on Thursday, Oct. 8, were part of an operation supported by LAPD to make arrests tied to alleged high-level narcotics sales. According to the LAPD, it was not immigration enforcement. Swipe for what we know ➡️

Sabemos que la comunidad está preocupada y ansiosa tras reportes de un posible aumento en operativos migratorios en Los Angeles. La presencia de agentes federales el día de hoy en Skid Row en el centro de Los Angeles no estaba relacionado a inmigración, de acuerdo a reportes que recibimos de la policía de Los Angeles. Las agencias involucradas eran: LAPD, DEA, BFT, ATF, y la Fiscalía General. El propósito del operativo era arrestar a aquellos involucrados en la supuesta venta de narcoticos. Sin embargo, tenemos que estar alertas y listos. Si usted o algún familiar o ser querido necesita ayuda o asistencia migratoria, o si quiere reportar un operativo migratorio en su comunidad, por favor llame a CHIRLA y la Línea de Respuesta Rápida al 888-624-4752.

We know our community is aware and concerned about reports of increased ICE presence in the Los Angeles region. Reports of federal agents present in Skid Row mid-day Thursday were not related to immigration enforcement, according to reports we received from the LAPD. It involved the following agencies: LAPD, DEA, BFT, ATF, and US Attorney's Office. The purpose was to conduct arrests related to alleged high-level narcotics sales. We do need to be vigilant, know our rights, and know where to turn to for the latest information. If you or your family witness an immigration enforcement activity, or need assistance or information related to immigration, please contact CHIRLA and the Rapid Response Hotline at 888-624-4752.

The pilgrimage has arrived in LA on the final day of the 8-day, 96.5-mile pilgrimage from Adelanto Detention Center to the Detention Center in LA. ✊🏽

We came together with our neighbors to call attention to the cruel conditions inside detention centers in CA & the country. 🕊️
