Named for the cyclone tearing through the region the night she arrived, Cycalona “Clonie” Gowen was always going to be a force of nature. 🌪️

She cut her teeth in cash games before taking the tournament world by storm. She won the WPT Ladies’ Night title in 2003 in front of millions of viewers, went on to win Poker After Dark three times alongside only one other player in history, Johnny Chan, and took down the Bellagio Cup IV for $437,775, building a career that surpassed $1.6 million in earnings.

Today she’s a software engineer who dedicates her time to Math for America and other educational initiatives, using her platform to support learning and make a positive impact in communities.

And now she’s bringing all of it back to Vegas to tear through the Rhino Rumble. ♦️

The Shannon Elizabeth Foundation rescues, rehabilitates, and protects endangered wildlife while helping conserve habitats for future generations.

Knock her out and her bounty is yours. A prize within the prize for the boldest player in the room.

When the most powerful voice in the creator economy decides to show up for wildlife, you pay attention.

We are thrilled to welcome Creators Inc. and Andy Bachman, Founder and CEO of Creators Inc, as the Title Sponsor of the 2nd Annual Rhino Rumble Poker Championship, benefiting the Shannon Elizabeth Foundation .

Andy has built Creators Inc. into the world's largest social media management agency by understanding one thing better than anyone: communities change the world. Now he's bringing that belief to the conservation table.

The Shannon Elizabeth Foundation works hand in hand with local communities across South Africa, because protecting wildlife only lasts when the people sharing that land have a real stake in its future.

This is what it looks like when influence meets impact. 🦏

Raise or be raised. ♠️🦏

The next Rhino Rumble bounty has been placed, and it’s on Ahmed Karrim.

“I have never once beaten Ahmed at the table. Not even with aces in my hand. Though to be fair, he has more poker skill in his left pinky finger than I have in my entire body.”
— Shannon Elizabeth

Some players don’t just win hands. They make you remember the hand you lost. Ahmed is one of those players. Difficult to read, always present at the crucial moments, and no stranger to deep runs. He reached the final table at the first Rhino Rumble Poker Championship, and now he’s back as our bounty for the second year running.

“The more you give, the more you get.”
— Ahmed Karrim

The Rhino Rumble brings celebrities, high-stakes players, and passionate supporters together in one room, all playing for something bigger than the game itself.

The Shannon Elizabeth Foundation rescues, rehabilitates, and protects endangered wildlife, conserving habitats and creating lasting impact for future generations.

Bust them out or bust out trying. 🦏

The first bounty has been placed, and she is .

She taught herself poker from a book gifted as a joke. Then she used it to make the final table of the WPT Celebrity Invitational in 2008 and, in 2010, finished 3rd.
She doesn't bluff. She doesn't need to. And now Shannon Elizabeth has put a bounty on her head.

Here’s how it works:
Shannon has placed extraordinary individuals at the Rhino Rumble table. Be the first to knock them out of the tournament, and their bounty is yours.
A prize within the prize, for the boldest player in the room.

At the Shannon Elizabeth Foundation, we’re building a sanctuary where endangered wildlife can heal, where critical land is protected, and where local communities become guardians of the wild.

Your generosity today directly accelerates:

🌿 New black rhino holding bomas to ensure safe recovery and pre-release care
🛡️ More wildlife monitors, rangers, and security teams
💚 Meaningful jobs for the people who safeguard these precious animals

Khusela is more than a sanctuary—it’s a lifeline for species on the brink.

This mother and her newborn nyala calf represent everything we work for:
protection, renewal, and the hope of a safer future for generations still to come.
From the early days of Animal Avengers (2001) to the Shannon Elizabeth Foundation today, and into everything we’re building at Khusela — we are endlessly grateful for our community.
Thank you for loving the wild with us.
Thank you for standing for the animals.
And together… the best is yet to come. 🤎🦏🌿

It’s official… Munu has spoken! 🦏💚
Today we’re revealing some of his absolute favorite snacks — and yes, he’s got great taste. From crunchy treats to leafy goodness, this boy knows what he loves!

Who knew conservation could be this delicious? 🌳

What is your favorite snack?? Please share in the comments. 🍿

Did you know? Nyala are shy, forest-dwelling antelopes native to southern Africa. At Khusela Sanctuary, these two young males enjoy safe access to fresh water — a small but vital part of their survival. 🦌💧

While Munu is the heart of our sanctuary, our mission extends beyond one rhino. Protecting habitat ensures that all wildlife can thrive. Every action we take helps create a healthier, more connected ecosystem for future generations.

🌿 To support our work, you can donate securely on our website at shannonelizabeth.org or give via Fidelity Charitable using an electronic funds transfer (EFT).
