It is so wonderful to see dolls with hearing aids and cochlear implants!

Stephanie Lopez, who is hearing impaired, got one of these dolls for her daughter, Halima (who is not). Halima's doll is pictured here (we love the pink hearing aid)! What a wonderful way to teach children a powerful message of inclusion.

Tucker is a renowned lawyer and law professor, and she is profoundly deaf.

A memoir of the author's experience as a profoundly deaf infant who became an expert lipreader, and who never learned sign language or met another deaf person until her mid-thirties. It follows her story as she made it through college, to become a corporate litigator.
