GBI is a CA non-profit corporation established in 1991 in partnership with Loyola Marymount University’s College of Business Administration. GBI is a Strategic Thinkubator (Think and do Tank) Organization and IC2 Global Fellow at the University of Texas at Austin.

The mission of Global Business Incubation, Inc. (“GBI”) is to promote the development and growth of urban enterprises through business incubation and cooperative strategies.

GBI serves as a facilitator of diverse projects. These include teaching factories, business incubators, neighborhood cooperatives, job training programs, youth training and entrepreneurial programs, and technology innovation. Collectively, these provide a synergistic approach to reviving the urban small business community.

For over 20 years, GBI founders have researched the most successful models of institution building, infrastructures, business incubators, cooperatives, teaching and testing factories and research consortia that create wealth. They have interviewed wealth creators such as Walt Disney of Disney and Ray Croc of MacDonalds and served as business consultants to World Bank, Amway, Encylopedia Brittanica, Major League Baseball and other entities.

GBI is currently focused on developing a manufacturing consortium and technical institute that will provide resources, training and employment to incubate 10 collective clusters of 200 passionate Veteran Entrepreneurs and Small Business Owners. GBI has established partnerships with Loyola Marymount University College of Business and Administration, Los Angeles Trade Technical College Architecture and Environmental Design, Cal.
