The Dream Builders Project

An action-based non profit organization based in Los Angeles, CA. The Dream Builders Project was established in Los Angeles, CA on October 10, 2013.

We were created with one plan and one goal in mind, to give back. Originating from real estate development company, Dahan Properties/Prime Five Homes, The Dream Builders Project has adopted the development firm’s commitment to community growth. The Dream Builders Project strives to provide for charities, non-profits, organizations, and foundations dedicated to making the world a better place- one

community at a time. By taking individual action, hosting charitable events and providing for the impoverished, our efforts are effective and extensive. We organize food drives, clothing drives, fundraisers and our signature "Flash Mob Charity Events." We continuously contribute to non profits that provide relief, awareness and solutions. Thus far we have donated to Habitat for Humanity, Restore LA, The Polaris Project, Team Fox, LATO, Lupus LA and The Lazarex Cancer Foundation. The Dream Builders Project is devoted to continuing our fight for the improvement and advancement of people and communities all over the world. The Dream Builders Project sees no limit to giving back and as long as there is a demand for help, we will deliver.

Our tour of the Dog Therapy Program at was SO special. We learned about how the dogs provide therapy for patients and how unique the volunteer driven program is. We were so lucky to spend time with these sweet pups and handlers. Then those pups were off to work! 🐶🐕🦮

We are so excited to announce that we are wholeheartedly supporting the Amerman Family Foundation Dog Therapy Program at ! We are proud to support the program that continues to pair canines and patients to create an opportunity for memorable moments during what is often a challenging time for patients and families. ♥️♥️ If you would like to get involved, send us a DM!

Did you know that we have a comprehensive Internship Program for students and individuals in Los Angeles?

Our Program offers hands on experience with our nonprofit, including its partnerships and sponsors, social media, outreach, planning and more.

We are a small organization and rely on individuals and volunteers to take us to the next level.

All internships are part time, require office hours in Hollywood, CA and are volunteer based.

Our Program offers school credit when possible. We have a very unique office (you must be okay with lots of cuddles and kisses from our 3 small office pups).

We are a very positive group of people and love to add new people and ideas to our team!

Time flies so fast and the next thing you know it’s already December.

This reminds us that the holidays can sometimes be a time of great stress for less fortunate families.

Our goal is to make sure that every child has a magical holiday season, and our Holiday Events are one way that we can go about making that happen!

Our organization partners with local nonprofit organizations to host holiday events for families and children that include crafts, brand new toys, and sometimes, even SANTA!

The Dream Builders Project has had one goal in mind: to make a positive difference on the community and the world at large.

As a “charity for charities,” The Dream Builders Project is not bound to any particular group or cause, allowing The DBP to join forces with many great and sometimes overlooked charities and nonprofits to make the most profound impact.

So, here are some of the main causes The DBP focuses on include:

homelessness, child abuse & neglect, education, fighting human trafficking and more.

Making care packages is definitely one of our favorite things to do.

Children of any age can get involved.

➡️ Swipe through the slides to see some throwback pictures when DBP hosted a small event with Steve & Kate’s Camp in Los Angeles.

The children spent the rest of their time using construction paper, markers, stickers and more to make cards and notes to homeless individuals that are less fortunate than them.

The cards were included in our “Care Packages for The Homeless” Event.

The Dream Builders Project is a strong advocate for human rights – believing that it is every person’s basic right to have freedom, shelter, food to eat, and medical assistance as needed.

Homelessness is a key social issue in many cities, especially Los Angeles.

The Dream Builders Project’s very first community outreach event was orchestrated to feed the homeless.

This event has evolved to become a staple of The DBP and are now referred to as “Care Package for the Homeless” events.

These events gather a large group of staff and volunteers at a central location for an exciting hour.

During the event, volunteers assist with assembling care packages with the items provided by our organization which include food, water, clothing, personal care items, first aid items, and helpful information on shelters and food banks for some of the thousands of people living on the streets of Los Angeles.

The care packages can then be distributed by volunteers or our staff.

Here are some of the care package events we’ve had for the past few years.

Did you know that the Dream Builders Project has been working with the Mark Taper - Johnny Mercers Artists Program at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles since 2016?

In addition to the amazing medical care that Children’s Hospital Los Angeles provides its patients, this comprehensive program provides therapies that assist in healing the whole child.

The program uses paint, markers, musical instruments and other expressive art therapies to achieve better health outcomes, alleviate anxiety, provide psychological support and offers a creative outlet for self-expression.

This specific program goes above and beyond and brings together local artists, performers, teachers and therapists to meet the diverse needs of their patient population.

Our organization has successfully donated over $95,000, hosted small arts & crafts events for patients (inpatients and outpatients), as well as donated countless boxes of art and music supplies to directly assist the program.

Thankful for getting to do what we love! In November 2022, we visited an orphanage in Mexico with to start the process of small renovations to their buildings to create a more safe and enjoyable space for the children! We took some time to have some fun and took some of the children to school.
