Just Food

Just Food Just Food gives students a safe place to go after school and teaches students how to build a garden and grow organic fruits and vegetables.

Just Food is a nonprofit gardening program dedicated to teaching and empowering the youth of Hollywood to grow nutritious food for their community, in their community. Just Food shows students how to prepare delicious meals from the produce that is grown and connects students to local farmer’s markets and organic food restaurant. Just Food introduces students to the economic possibilities of growi

ng organic foods and gives all serious and interested students a grant to build a garden in their neighborhood. Just Food facilitates the building of new gardens and supports the students who are building them. Just Food has a 5 year goal of 10 new gardens and teaching 1000 students in Hollywood. Food grown in the Just Food garden will be shared with the community. Just Food is building a local and sustainable system of fresh organic foods in Hollywood.
