Saturday, September 26th, between 8 and 10 AM, we will clear the north side of Victory between Vanlden and Wilbur. We will cut and bag weeds. Please wear long-sleeve shirts, long pants, eye protection, work gloves, and a hat. I will bring the tools. We have never done this spot before, but it is a lot like Platt Ave. Reseda wants this done, so we are here to help them. Let's show what a few volunteers can do. Park along the frontage road on the north side of Victory. The Community Benefit Foundation. We are the ones who get the dirty work done.

The Community Benefit Foundation (CBF) is a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) dedicated to improving the look, cleanliness, and character of Woodland Hills, Canoga Park, Tarzana, Reseda, and beyond.
We clean up public blight that slips through the cracks.
We clean up
• Address graffiti on onramps and on buildings along the 101 Fwy in Woodland Hills & Tarzana.
• Cut and remove weeds on city sidewalks and parkways in Woodland Hills and Canoga Park.
• Paint out graffiti along stretches of the LA River in Canoga Park & Reseda.
• Paint out graffiti on properties in Woodland Hills, Tarzana, & Canoga Park.
• Maintain street trees in Woodland Hills, Tarzana, Canoga Park, & Reseda.
The Office of Community Beautification (OCB) is supportive of our effort with paint and tools for our projects. Sean McCarthy, our committee chairman, has worked with OCB since 1988. OCB operates on a limited budget. The CBF helps stretch the city’s limited resources to maximize their impact.
We have a dedicated core of volunteers who work with us for 2 hours every Saturday. We plan and execute specific projects that we know we can complete on time and on a shoestring budget. We receive funding from some Neighborhood Councils and generous contributions from City Council District 3. We need money, but more than anything, we need help from residents, business owners, and property owners. We need kids to help us. We need more people to care about Los Angeles.

This afternoon, I took our new airless paint sprayer to 19001 Ventura Blvd and took out most of the graffiti on the 101 Freeway side of the building in half an hour. Your West Valley Warner Center Chamber of Commerce paid for the tool that will fix a long-standing public blight. Donate to the Community Benefit Foundation. We are the ones who get Tarzana's dirty work done.

On July 4th, 2026, your Community Benefit Foundation took action to remove the graffiti from 20631 Ventura Blvd, on the 101 Freeway side. This is our gift to San Fernando Valley residents on the 250th anniversary of America's birth. Happy birthday. We do the hard work when no one is looking. On Saturday, June 13th, between 8 and 10 AM, we will complete the cleanup of Owensmouth across from the east side of Topanga Mall. Meet at 21601 Victory. Park close to Owensmouth and the Northrop Grumman property. See the "X". Please wear long-sleeved shirts and pants, eye protection, a hat, and work gloves. We will bring the tools. For many years, I have headed up the Cleanups of the West Valley Warner Center Community Benefit Foundation. We conduct weekly neighborhood cleanups in Woodland Hills, Tarzana, Canoga Park, Reseda, Encino, and Lake Balboa. You can review the done-in-a-day projects we have initiated throughout the West San Fernando Valley, from painting over graffiti along the 101 Freeway to cutting weeds along Ventura Blvd to beautifying the LA River bikeway. Our efforts have been repeatedly recognized by state and local officials for our consistent, focused work to improve conditions for all Angelenos. I encourage you and your organization to learn how you can participate in a branded, done-in-a-day project you can be proud of.

We will be meeting on Saturday, May 30th, at the Von's market at 19333 Victory Blvd. (Tampa and Victory).
We will paint the bikeway below the Tampa Bridge. Please dress appropriately with a hat, eye protection, painting clothes, and gloves. I'll bring tools. Saturday, May 16th, six of your neighbors took a few hours to begin cleaning Bessett at Owensmouth of trash and weeds. It was a start, but it is not finished. Thanks to Dennis Dennis T. DiBiase, Karen DiBiase, Christina Gaspar, Jobathan Gaspar, and Alfonse Collins for their hard work.
