Research studies show dairy may contribute to many of the symptoms associated with ADHD and the ability to focus, as well as other mental health concerns like depression and emotional regulation.

Adults and kids all struggle to varying degrees on paying attention, whether that’s in a classroom, place of work, or simply trying to watch a movie. While some experts blame too much screen time, poor sleep quality, or stress, there is another factor that is often overlooked: diet.

Hemorrhoids are the butt of a lot of jokes (pun intended), but they can range from bothersome to more serious like chronic bleeding resulting in anemia. Hemorrhoids affect millions of Americans, as much as 1 in 20 adults and over half of adults aged 50 and older.

If you’ve experienced them, then surely you want to prevent them from returning again, as well as clear up any lingering symptoms. Fortunately, making some dietary shifts, especially avoiding dairy products and increasing plant-based foods, can make a world of a difference.

You thought the horror movie was the scary part, but it was actually the dairy 🩸🧀

For many people, dairy can trigger inflammation and acne. Research has found associations between dairy consumption and increased acne prevalence, particularly in adolescents and young adults (PMID: 30096883, PMID: 29778512). Plus, anyone who’s ever woken up after a cheesy food binge with a surprise breakout knows this horror story firsthand, right?!

We’re constantly told dairy is “necessary” for health while people are thriving on plant-based foods, without dairy, which means without the clogged pores, cholesterol, lactose issues, or cruelty attached to the industry.

So if your skin is screaming lately, maybe it’s time for the real plot twist: ditching dairy 🌱

Better for your skin. Better for your heart. Better for the planet. Better for the cows who never wanted to be part of the horror movie in the first place.

Dairy = Massive jump scares.

On the newest episode of the podcast, we’re joined by one of the most influential and widely cited figures in nutrition science. Dr. Walter Willett, Professor of Epidemiology and Nutrition at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, has published over 2,000 papers across four decades. His work includes some of the largest and most rigorous studies on diet and chronic disease ever conducted.

He is the author of several books, including the bestselling Eat, Drink, and Be Healthy, which challenged prevailing nutrition dogma and offered a clearer, evidence-based path forward.
In this conversation, we examine the eating patterns most closely linked to longevity—for both human health and the health of the planet—the rise of foods designed for convenience rather than nourishment, and the risks they pose. We also break down the practical steps that offer the greatest protection against illness.

Tune in via switch4good.com/podcast for the rare opportunity to hear from a scientist and physician whose work continues to define the boundaries of nutrition.

What’s in your child’s lunchbox is only part of the story. Behind every sandwich is a system we don’t see—crowded conditions, routine antibiotics, and choices that ripple far beyond the plate. If it wouldn’t sit right in plain sight, why accept it hidden? What we don’t see still matters. Choose transparency. Choose better. Choose plant-based for your family’s health, for the planet, and the animals. 🌎🐮☺️ Learn more: https://switch4good.org/campaigns/processed-meat-is-junk-for-kids/

Milk isn’t just “milk” for many kids. It’s one of the most common food allergens in childhood, affecting millions—and the reactions aren’t mild.

We’re talking about:
• Digestive distress (vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain)
• Skin reactions (eczema, hives, rashes)
• Chronic inflammation and discomfort
• Respiratory issues and wheezing
• Fatigue, irritability, and difficulty focusing
• In severe cases: life-threatening anaphylaxis

Here’s what most people don’t realize: These reactions can happen within minutes—or be delayed for days, making it harder to even connect the dots. Milk proteins like casein and whey can trigger the immune system to go on the attack—releasing histamine and causing widespread symptoms throughout the body.

For many kids, that doesn’t just mean physical discomfort— it can mean brain fog, poor concentration, disrupted sleep, and behavioral changes tied to ongoing inflammation and gut distress. And yet… It’s still served every day.

If a food can cause this wide range of reactions in children, maybe it deserves a second look.

Not all monsters hide under beds. Some show up in the lunchroom. 👹🥛🫣
