CORI Cancer Support Group At CORI, we are dedicated to our patients and their needs, while providing a high-level of support.

The CORI vision revolves around the value of collaborative medicine which can be tailored to each patients individual needs. CORI is a unique cancer research organization with international collaboration. The surgeons and scientists are considered global leaders and have National Cancer Institute funded federal grants in both colon cancer and melanoma. The results of this research have been publis

hed in prestigious journals such as Journal of Clinical Oncology, Annals of Surgery, Archives of Surgery and Clinical Cancer Research. Members of CORI have also been recognized for their work by invitations to present at national meetings including the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American College of Surgeons and the American Surgical Association and have been invited experts to CNN. CORI also recognizes the needs of the underserved communities and to this end have established collaborations with the Wellness community as well as the NAACP. CORI members provide educational seminars on cancer prevention, early detection of cancer as well as innovative treatments. CORI members are regarded by there peers as experts in melanoma, colon cancer, liver cancer, pancreas cancer, stomach cancer and breast cancer. Minimally invasive procedures such as the sentinel node and laparoscopy are routinely performed. Unnecessary lymph node dissections are avoided and laparoscopic colon and liver resections are preferred which results in faster recovery. CORI integrates research with clinical medicine to improve your chances for cure.

Come join us on Saturday at our next outreach event, "Conquering the Fears of Cancer II"! It will be held from 11am to 2pm at The Regency West, 3339 West 43rd Street, Los Angeles, CA, 90008. CORI directors, Dr. Bilchik and Dr. Hurst, along with guest speaker, Dr. Thomas Johnson, will give informational presentations on cancer. A Q&A session will follow. Celebrity, Vanessa Bell Calloway, will be moderating the event. Admission is free and refreshments will be served. We hope to see you there!
