On this Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we lift our eagle fans to the Two-Spirit, Indigiq***r, and LGBTQPAI+ Indigenous elders, leaders, mentors, and knowledge keepers who stomped the grass before us. 🌿🪶🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

Long before there was a path, you made one. Through your courage, teachings, laughter, resistance, and love, you cleared the way for our youth to dream bigger, stand taller, and know they belong. We honor those who carry ancestral knowledge, protect community, and remind us who we are and where we come from.

May we continue walking the trails you've lovingly opened and leave them even wider for those yet to come. 🌱✨

Due to forecasted severe weather and out of care for the safety of our attendees, exhibitors, performers, vendors, volunteers, and community, Indigenous Pride LA has made the difficult but unanimous decision to cancel the 2026 Indigenous Pride LA Fall Festival; all vendor application fees will be fully refunded and affected vendors will receive direct communication about the refund process. As we hold in our hearts the devastating impacts of recent monsoon storms on Native communities throughout the Southwest, this decision reflects our deep respect for the caution many Indigenous communities bring to severe weather events and our commitment to prioritizing community safety. Even as we pause this year’s festival, we remain excited about the future of Indigenous Pride LA, including our upcoming Indigenous Q***r Cinemas program, a forthcoming book launch celebration, and a revitalized pow wow experience planned for 2027. Indigenous Pride LA is thrilled to host the official book launch for "Q***r Indigenous Cinemas" by Dr. Gabriel S. Estrada, Board Member and Cofounder of Indigenous Pride LA, Co-Chair of the City of Angels Two-Spirit Society (CATSS), and a Two-Spirit elder of the Greater Los Angeles area.

Join us for an inspiring evening uplifting q***r Indigenous media from the Americas, the Pacific, and the Afro-Caribbean, featuring a panel conversation with the author and a chance to grab your own copy of the book.

We’re recruiting volunteer Board members! 🌈

Indigenous Pride L.A. is looking for:

• Board Treasurer to help oversee our finances and budget.
• Board Secretary to support meeting records and organizational documents.
• Board Members At Large to offer guidance on programs, strategy, and community needs.

These are volunteer Board of Directors positions supporting Two-Spirit, Indigiq***r, and Indigenous LGBTQPAI+ community work and organizational sustainability.

Individuals from American Indian, Alaska Native, First Nations, Métis, Inuit, Indígena, Pueblos Originarios, Pasifika, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, Indigenous Asian, and Indigenous African communities are strongly encouraged to apply.
