LMU has lost sight of its mission by: refusing to recognize unionized non-tenure track (NTT) faculty; spending millions on advertising and off-campus projects; increasing tuition leaving so that it leaves many students in long-term debt.

We’re not accepting this. We’re organizing. Students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community supporters to join the LMU Organizing Committee.

See sign up link in bio.

Join us on Tues., Feb. 24, at 2:30PM at LMU’s back gate entrance at Loyola Blvd. & W. 80th St. for a rally and march demanding LMU’s admin resume bargaining with non-tenure track (NTT) faculty and stop its union-busting!

After the rally, we’ll march to Provost Kat Weaver’s Community Conversations event at the Life Sciences Building Auditorium. We call on all rally-goers to RSVP for the Community Conversation event where we’ll engage in respectful dialogue with the administration about our union demand!

The LMU Staff Senate passed a resolution calling on the admin and board of trustees to return to contract bargaining with unionized non-tenure track (NTT) faculty! See link in bio under “statements of support” to learn more.

The resolutions says the senate stands in solidarity with NTT faculty and urges the admin and board to engage in good faith contract negotiations. It also says the admin and board’s decision to cynically claim a religious exemption to labor law “impacts the ability of staff to unionize for our rights, dignity, and compensation.”

LMU NTT faculty member? Join your colleagues by submitting your ULP Strike Pledge today and encouraging your colleagues to sign, too. Find the pledge at the link in bio!

Why are we taking this step? Because LMU Board Chair Paul Viviano and President Thomas P**n have joined Donald Trump’s war on faculty, workers, and higher education.

Last semester, P**n and Viviano attempted to bust our union with a cynical claim of religious exemption from labor law that our faculty theologians say violates Catholic social teaching and Jesuit values.

Sign the pledge today and join us in fighting back!

We hope that LMU’s campus President Thomas P**n and Board Chair Paul Viviano are excited to receive our holiday card! This holiday season, we ask for the gift of respect for LMU NTT Faculty and for the admin and board to live up to the school’s stated commitments to social justice and Jesuit values. That means returning to the bargaining table with LMU NTT faculty!

Thank you to CFT, A Union of Educators and Classified Professionals, for standing with us in the fight against the LMU administration’s unethical union-busting.

With 120,000+ CFT members standing in solidarity, we’re calling on LMU to honor its Jesuit values of justice and return to the bargaining table to negotiate a fair contract.

Yesterday, while LMU rolled out the red carpet for President P**n’s inauguration, something far more powerful unfolded outside the gates. Dozens of faculty, staff, students, and community members united to fight back against the administration’s shameful union-busting.

Across the country, workplaces and campuses are seeing a rise in Trump’s authoritarian practices. Today, we stood together to show LMU’s administration — and MAGA cronies nationwide — that we will not sit quietly while they wage a war on workers.

Across the US, workers are facing escalating union-busting as Trump’s authoritarian practices tighten their grip on higher education.

Tomorrow (12/9), we take a stand. Join us at our Day of Action as we push back against the union-busting happening right here on our very own campus.

Meet us at NOON at LMU’s main entrance at Lincoln Blvd. & LMU Drive. More info in bio.
