The PLATO Society of Los Angeles A community of people where the love of learning is a lifelong passion. Like every other part of your body, your brain needs exercise to stay healthy.

Which is what The PLATO Society is all about. Not some sit-and-listen-lecture classes, PLATO is a peer to peer learning experience in which each member becomes fully engaged in any one of a myriad of subjects offered each semester through our unique Study Discussion Groups (SDGs). It makes learning an active rather than passive experience. But the PLATO Society is more than a learning program. The

re are colloquiums, worldwide guided tours, weekend retreats, social gatherings and specialized interest groups that caters to any and all interests of our members from bridge to book clubs to cooking classes to...well, you get the idea.
