It’s so discouraging and at the same time SO revealing, it’s humanly impossible to wrap one’s head around the infantile malignancy of a commander in chief chosen by the population, to be THAT narcissistic with extreme sociopathy.

I can’t tell if Trump is that, though. I’ll leave this to the experts.

But sure enough, others who have been individually diagnosed of these behaviors, behave very much like he does, and all these character traits are compressed into one human.

Quite Remarque-able.

Remarque, Erich Maria - gave us this insight into people who are hellbent in conducting war and sending their young ones to fight, when they themselves would never be seen NEAR a battleground.

“All Quiet on The Western Front” is not “just” a war movie. It’s a recount of the human condition and its perverse ability to not feel pain, particularly by those in leadership position.

What sad state of affairs we’re in.

Thankfully Remarque’s life work extends to this day, one hundred years later (2028 100th anniversary of publishing the book that Göbbels threw to the flames).

It’s not just a book. It’s a warning.

Yes, I’m totally biased, as I was the leader in ensuring his residence on Lago Maggiore is spared from being bulldozed.

The house and Remarque’s last physical presence is safe, in private property, remodeled the way we had envisioned it would, and maintained as a private residence by a humanitarian with means to ensure Remarque’s militant pacifist lifetime work will always remain in people’s conscience.

Because the threat of war never ends.

A piece of New York history, beneficiary of Paulette's bequest of $20M+ part of the biggest endowment in the country (6B).
The donation was one the largest single person donation to benefit NYU's international programs and its performing arts education, something Paulette was eager to support.

Paulette's generosity during her life included giving her artist friend financial support by buying their Art or get them to experience different surrounding to reset their creativity.

We are all SO excited to see our combined efforts to raise awareness and support to save EM Remarque and Paulette Goddard’s villa on Lago Maggiore has become reality. The new owners are keenly aware of its historic importance and are currently doing an extensive renovation of the structure. In the end, it will most certainly return in its old splendor and reminisce the glory days when Erich bought the villa to escape from certain prosecution from N**i Germany. Long live Erich Maria Remarque and his militant anti-war legacy!

“Dolce vita, Grande Festa and Amore”

One of my BFF and almost-stepmom’ s dozen mega-successful Swiss/German/Italian “volksmusik” and “Schlager” earworms she wrote in her lifetime. (including a handful of Eurovision finalists as well as THE win by Celine with Nella’s authored “Ne Partez-Pas Sans Moi”.

“Bella Nella” and her happy-go-lucky oompah pah music became her signature niche and with those diddies she captured German-speaking audiences, becoming the de-facto tourism promoter north of the Alps for my home state of Ticino.

We just remembered the anniversary of her passing which reminded me of that project her and I had to bring a couple of her songs to a unique market in California. Stay tuned.
