UCLA WYSE The mission of WYSE is to empower young girls from all walks of life and aid in their development into strong and self confident women.

UCLA WYSE is one of 11 different WYSE chapters that are present across the United States. WYSE itself is a national mentorship organization. WYSE has its own curriculum, specific to each chapter as well as a one-on-one mentorship program. http://www.wyse.org/about-us

💸 Introducing the WYSE Finance Board for 2026-2027!

Meet Trinity and Sydney, the people behind the planning and fundraising that help keep WYSE going! This year, they’re working to support our programs and create even more opportunities for our mentors and mentees. 💰✨📚

Sydney is a fourth-year Ecology, Behavior, and Evolution major from Woodland, CA! They love reading, playing guitar, and collecting CDs. Their middle school obsession was The Waterfire Saga book series 📚 This year, Sydney hopes to organize larger fundraisers to better support the wonderful WYSE program and everything it does for our community! 🎶🌱💿

Trinity is a second-year Physiological Science major from San Francisco, CA! Outside of WYSE, she enjoys watercolor painting, sewing, watching rom-coms, and binging famous movie franchises. Her middle school era was dedicated to Minecraft 24/7, from before online classes to during class and sometimes until 3 AM. This year, Trinity hopes to build stronger connections between mentors and create a community that mentees can see and feel! 🎨🧵🎬

👑 Introducing the WYSE Executive Board for 2026-2027!

Meet Isabella and Sono, the amazing leaders helping guide WYSE through another year! From planning big-picture goals to supporting each branch of WYSE, they’re here to help make this year the best one yet. 💌✨

Isabella is a fourth-year Environmental Science major with a minor in Environmental Systems and Society from Pasadena, CA! She loves altering second-hand clothes with her Singer, listening to pop albums, making digital art, laughing and dancing with friends, and taking the 18 to the beach. Her middle school era was full of iMovie short films, GarageBand covers, and starter-pack collages 👀 This year, Isabella hopes to connect with other WYSE branches and the amazing leaders of WYSE National! 🎨🎶🌎

Sono is a fourth-year Biochemistry major with minors in Biomedical Research and Asian Languages from Bowling Green, Kentucky! She loves hiking, cooking, crocheting, spending time with her dog, and exploring new places. Her middle school self spent her time making rainbow waffles and dancing to Katy Perry 🌈 This year, Sono hopes to work with the amazing WYSE board to plan special events and strengthen the relationships between mentors and mentees! 🧇🥾🐶

📢 Introducing the WYSE Publicity Board for 2026–2027!

Meet Skye and Alejandra, the team behind WYSE’s social media, outreach, and all things publicity! They’re working to make WYSE more visible, interactive, and connected while showing everyone what makes our community so special. 📸💻💗

Skye is a second-year Education and Social Transformation major from Apple Valley, CA! She loves graphic design, music, cooking, camping, traveling, shopping, and spending time with friends. Her middle school interests included Hamilton, Percy Jackson, anime, and musical.ly ✌️ This year, Skye hopes to make WYSE’s Instagram more interactive and fun while highlighting the amazing people and community that make WYSE special! 💻🎶✨

Alejandra is a third-year Political Science major from Tijuana, Mexico! She loves cooking, trying new food and coffee spots, traveling, and listening to music. 💗 Introducing the WYSE Community Engagement Board for 2026-2027!

Meet Melany and Olivia, who are working to strengthen our connections both within WYSE and beyond! From creating memorable experiences to welcoming new mentees, they’re helping our community grow one connection at a time. 🌸🫶

Melany is a fourth-year Political Science and Spanish double major from Los Angeles! In her free time, she enjoys reading, going to the beach or pool, hiking, and spending time with friends. Her middle school self was busy filming Q&A videos and pretending she had an audience asking her questions. This year, Melany hopes to plan fun and memorable field trips that our mentees will be excited to attend! 📚🏖️🎥

Olivia is a fourth-year Sociology major with minors in Education and Spanish from San Francisco! She loves reading, binge-watching shows, and crafting. Meet Leila and Kavya, who are bringing the fun to WYSE! From socials and activities to creating opportunities for mentors to connect, they’re working to make this year full of memories and community. 🪩🎀💕

Leila is a fourth-year Human Biology & Society major from Oakland, CA! She loves yoga, thrifting, camping, and getting involved in public health and community service. Her middle school self had a serious obsession with Ben & Jerry’s 🍦This year, Leila hopes to organize fun socials that bring mentors closer together and strengthen the WYSE community! 🧘🏽‍♀️⛺️💗

🎓 Introducing the WYSE Education Board for 2026-2027!

Meet Kylee and Andrea, who are helping make our site experiences fun, meaningful, and engaging! From hands-on activities to informative lessons, they’re working to make every WYSE session something our mentees can look forward to. 📝💗✨

Kylee is a third-year Public Affairs major with a minor in Gender Studies from San Diego! Outside of WYSE, she loves rollerblading, hiking, checking out new coffee shops, going to the beach, and going on little side quests around LA. Her middle school era was all about theatre, where she performed in plays like The Outsiders and The Little Mermaid Jr. This year, Kylee hopes to create a stronger sense of community within WYSE and bring more fun, hands-on activities to our sites! 🎭☕️🌊

Andrea is a third-year Political Science and English major from Modesto, CA! She loves collecting records, writing, crocheting, and hiking. In middle school, she was obsessed with The Vampire Diaries and The Beatles. This year, Andrea hopes to help create informative, fun, and memorable site experiences for both mentees and mentors! 📚🎶🧶

Thank you for helping our LA community!

Last week, Sepulveda and Mark Twain students joined UCLA WYSE mentors in a clean-up at Venice Beach. Students learned the importance of environmental stewardship in the company of fellow WYSE mentees.

We had additional fun with lunch, water color painting, beach ball playing, and supervised shore exploring.

Our very own CED Directors, Andrea and Melany, also taught us a special WYSE rollcall chant (not pictured).

We can’t wait for the next WYSE outing!! ⛱️
