What a night celebrating with the Los Angeles Lakers! 🌈✨

had an amazing time coming together for Lakers Pride Night, made even more special by an incredible $10,000 gift from the Lakers Youth Foundation and Pechanga Resort Casino! Our newly elected Membership President, Tim McConico, was honored to accept the generous gift on behalf of the Chorus.

A HUGE thank you to the entire Lakers organization and Pechanga Resort Casino for their generosity, support, and commitment to uplifting the LGBTQ+ community. Your support helps us continue our mission of creating music that inspires, builds community, and celebrates the power of being our authentic selves.

And that’s a wrap on ’s GALA Choruses social media takeover!

We’ve had such an amazing time spending the weekend with you, sharing more about our Chorus and the work we do in , and taking you behind the scenes of California Sings!

A big THANK YOU to GALA Choruses for giving us the opportunity to take over your social media and share our music, our community, and our mission with the GALA family. We’re so grateful to be part of this extraordinary network of LGBTQ+ choruses.

And what an incredible time we had at California Sings! We are grateful to GALA for putting together this event for its California members and giving our choral community the opportunity to come together in Los Angeles. To all of the choruses who traveled far to be part of this special gathering, Thank YOU.

It was such an honor for us to welcome 11 amazing LGBTQ+ choruses from across to our home at the First Congregational Church of Los Angeles. Getting to hear each ensemble, meet their singers & artistic directors, and share music together was truly inspiring. Your artistry, passion, and voices inspired and empowered us, and reminded us just how powerful our LGBTQ+ choral community is when we come together. 💖

And then came the moment we’ll never forget: more than 500 singers from all the choruses joining together for one final song. We still have goosebumps! 🥹

Thank you to everyone who followed along with us this weekend. We hope you enjoyed getting to know GMCLA and experiencing California Sings! alongside us.

For , our impact extends far beyond the concert stage.

Throughout the year, we bring music into our community through performances, educational programs, partnerships and events that connect and uplift people throughout Los Angeles.

Our ALIVE MUSIC PROJECT (AMP) reaches thousands of Los Angeles high school students with music education, anti-bullying messages, and powerful stories from our diverse Chorus members. Through our High School Choral Festival and Community Sing-in, we bring people of all ages together in song. And you’ll find GMCLA performing throughout the community at events that celebrate , honor our history, and support organizations making a difference in the lives of Angelenos.

At the heart of so much of this work is the First Congregational Church of Los Angeles (FCCLA), our home for rehearsals and many of our school and community programs. And today, we’re especially excited to welcome our GALA family here as LGBTQ+ choruses from throughout the region come together for California Sings! 💖

So, what’s next for Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles? Season 48 💖

After an incredible summer overseas, we’re back in Los Angeles and getting ready for a brand-new season of music, community, and Pride!

🎄✨ This December, we kick things off with A VERY DOLLY HOLIDAY, celebrating the music and legacy of Dolly Parton alongside treasured holiday classics.

🎸⚡ In March, we’re turning up the volume with ROCK GODS AND ANTHEMS, an arena-sized tribute to the legendary artists who broke the rules and changed music forever.

🦩🏳️‍🌈 And in June, we close out Season 48 with our concert, THANK YOU FOR BEING A FRIEND, inspired by The Golden Girls and the friendships, chosen families, and communities that make life a little more golden.

From Los Angeles to Amsterdam to London!

This summer, took its music overseas for the first time in more than 20 years, sharing a message of love, hope, and acceptance with audiences around the world. 💖

Our journey began in Amsterdam, where we performed at the world-famous Concertgebouw as part of the Q***r Voices Unite Choral Festival, joined the celebration at WorldPride Amsterdam, and brought music throughout the city with pop-up performances.

Then it was off to London for GMCLA’s first-ever UK performances! We made our UK debut with three performances of “Love Across the Pond” at St Paul’s Church in Covent Garden, supporting Terrence Higgins Trust and its vital work for the LGBTQ+ community.

From sold-out performances and standing ovations to new friendships and unforgettable moments, we were proud to represent Los Angeles and the LGBTQ+ choral movement on the world stage. 🌍✨
