This is not an easy post to share, but we believe in being transparent with our community.
Every day, HEART works to prevent pet-related evictions, reduce unnecessary shelter surrenders, and help people stay together with the pets they love during times of crisis. We provide free legal services and support because no one should have to choose between stable housing and their pet.
Right now, we're facing a critical funding gap.
Like many small nonprofits, we rely on grants and donations to sustain our work. While we have funding opportunities in the pipeline, the timing of those funds has left us with an immediate need to cover essential operating expenses and ensure our services remain available to the families who depend on us.
In 2025 alone, HEART served 372 families, 437 people, and 471 pets, helping keep families and their beloved companions together.
