Yorkie Rescue of America is a 501 (C) 3 non-profit corporation. Our volunteers foster the Yorkie in their home until he or she is well medically and ready to go to a new loving furever home. Donations go toward the medical care of the Yorkies. Whether it is prescriptions for needs such as pneumonia, which most have when rescued from an animal shelter, or prescription foods, x-rays, spaying, neuter

ing, microchiping, teeth cleaning or any other medical care necessary for the overall health and welfare of our rescues…… your donations are their salvation. Our volunteers are from all walks of life, both women and men and of all ages. We all have one thing in common, a kindness of heart, a commitment to serve and a passion for Yorkies. We are always looking for fosters and can always use more help. So, if you would like to volunteer, just let us know.

WOW!!! what a transformation😳 Aldo started on Clavamox for his urinary tract infection which showed E.coli. He is going to finish his doxycycline for the upper respiratory infection. He is receiving subcutaneous fluids daily right now due to his elevated BUN and Creatinine as well as kidney support supplements. Stay tuned for what the ophthalmologist report!!! If anyone would like to donate to his recovery, we still need donations. Aldo sends his love❤

Yorkie Rescue of America is asking for donations for a new precious little boy who has been suffering silently for longer than any soul should have to endure. To be honest, as of lately it's getting harder for me to look at the abuse and neglect of so many precious animals. When I don't think I have it in me to rescue any longer, a precious soul like Aldo finds his way to us for help. Meet Aldo, a 14 year old who has been living in pain and misery, silently suffering where an owner looks the other way. Aldo was found by a wonderful Good Samaritan as he was walking underneath a freeway overpass in busy Los Angeles. The Good Samaritan reached out to a friend of hers for guidance who happens to work for a holistic vet that we consult with from time to time. That is how Aldo got into our care. Aldo had no microchip or identification however the Good Samaritan did her due diligence and posted him on pawboost. A few days later a woman contacted the Good Samaritan and she was referred to me. Apparently Aldo has never been to a veterinarian in 14 years. In fact the thought never crossed her mind to take him to get care at least for his obvious eye injury he sustained over a year ago from another dog. She stated she is not always in a good emotional place and didn't really think about him having any kind of discomfort. I truly was speechless and I will leave it there and that Aldo is now safe under the care of Yorkie Rescue of America.
Here is what Aldo has been been suffering from: He was flea ridden, which took more than 3 baths to get him clean, he was also administered a Capstar. Aldo has an eye infection, ear infection, nails were so long he was having difficulty walking, rotten teeth that have been intermittently falling out, an upper respiratory infection, dehydration, and as the vet stated, "a raging urinary tract infection" and tapeworms which are visible in his stool. Aldo also has an elevated BUN and Creatinine. His vet does feel due to the horrific state he is in, the elevated kidney values may just be temporary and we are to administer subcutaneous fluids daily. We really need your help and are asking for donations so we can provide Aldo with all the proper veterinary care he so deserves Thank you❤
