We'd like to thank the for their kindness and generosity! Through their Community Ticket Program, the Dodgers donated tickets allowing 96 of our clients and staff from 5 of our 40 programs to attend a Dodgers Game. Here are the responses from two of those programs:

IFCCS, a children's program delivering mental health services to clients in all areas of LA County, were fortunate to partake in the Dodgers game on 06/17/26 against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Due to this generous donation from the Dodger’s organization, the IFCCS team was able to invite clients to come together and feel a part of something special.

This was all of our clients' first time at a Dodger’s game! In the days leading up to the game, clients were sharing with staff how excited they were, asking what baseball entails, what kind of food they offer, and planning out their outfits for the day. We even got to celebrate a client's 8th birthday at the stadium.

The seats were incredible and the clients shared how cool it was to be seeing the players up close. On behalf of our clients, we thank you for making this day special and allowing us to experience a Dodgers game!

On behalf of the Child/Young Adult FSP team and our clients, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks for an amazing experience we had on June 17th. We are very thankful and grateful for the opportunity. Our clients were extremely happy and truly enjoyed the event. For all of our clients in FSP, this was their very first time attending a game, and it was incredible to be able to provide them with this experience. All our clients were beyond excited!

Did you see LA vs HATE's PSA for the World Cup? Our “Sunset Luminaries” mural at the Center’s Family Partners site was featured in the PSA!

Created in 2025 by Carlos Rogel, "Sunset Luminaries" is an homage to community wellness inspired by collective memories and aspirations for connection, healing, and inner peace. LA vs. HATE’s public art series showcases 10 murals across Los Angeles and aims to connect diverse communities across the County. Our Center is honored to house one of these murals.

We are a proud partner of LA vs HATE, a program of the Los Angeles County Commission on Human Relations, 211LA, AAPI Equity Alliance, and TaskForce.

June 19th is JUNETEENTH
Learn More: https://conta.cc/4vztlDQ
Juneteenth has attained mainstream recognition as the official end of slavery in America. It is a symbol of resilience and the ongoing fight for equality and justice. It is imperative that the stories of Black Americans be acknowledged, preserved, and celebrated at the level of validity that they deserve. Black history is American history.

“Juneteenth has never been a celebration of victory or an acceptance of the way things are. It’s a celebration of progress. It’s an affirmation that despite the most painful parts of our history, change is possible — and there is still so much work to do.”
- Barack Obama

The Center is committed to promoting diversity, equity and inclusion for our staff. Our focus extends to advocating for clients and their families, particularly those affected by the traumatic impact of racism, as we work towards creating a more inclusive and supportive environment for all.

June is PRIDE Month
Learn More: https://conta.cc/4ug7jVq
LGBTQ+ rights are human rights. We see you, we support you, and we are inspired by your courage to accept nothing less than full equality.

Pride Month takes place each June and is a recognition of the identity, dignity, equality, acceptance and visibility of the LGBTQ+ community.

The LGBTQ+ community, especially younger members, interpersonally and systemically, faces societal stigma, discrimination, harassment, family rejection, and denial of their civil and human rights. Inequity harms mental health and LGBTQ+ individuals experience mental health struggles at higher rates than others - especially depression and anxiety disorders.

Families, friends, and allies play a critical role and can take actions to be supportive:
- Respect Their Identity
- Listen and Be Compassionate
- Create and Teach Awareness
- Learn About the Early Signs of Mental Illness
- Support Them in Accessing Mental Health Resources

The Center's programs support clients irrespective of race, color, ethnicity, religion, gender identity or gender expression, and we are proud to be among those celebrating and furthering the conversation around equity, inclusion, and belonging for all.

May is Mental Health Month
Learn More: https://conta.cc/4u8r3Ls
1 in 5 U.S. adults experience a mental health condition each year, and less than half of them receive treatment.

We know that around half of all people in the U.S. will meet the criteria for a diagnosable mental health condition at some point in their lives. We also know that communities who are targeted by racism, homophobia, transphobia, sexism, and other forms of systemic oppression and violence can face an even heavier mental health burden because of these harms.
--
ACEs stands for Adverse Childhood Experiences. These involve aspects of a child's/adult's environment that can undermine their sense of safety, stability, and bonding, such as living in a household with substance misuse, abuse, neglect, violence, or mental health concerns, and additional unaddressed trauma. Approximately 61% of adults have at least one ACE in their history. Preventing ACEs can reduce the number of adults with depression by as much as 44%. The Center provides services to help overcome ACEs and Toxic Stress and prevent them in the future.
--
At our 55th Anniversary Gala, we honored Actor, Writer, Blogger and Mental Health Advocate Wil Wheaton, whose courage to use his voice to fight stigma has helped others struggling with mental health issues and trauma get the help and support they need. Wil lent his voice to support our mission to provide accessible mental health care to children, adults, and families in the San Fernando Valley.

Select the video on the Learn More link to hear Wil speak openly and honestly about his mental health struggles, challenges, and successes. "I get to be the person I need in the world, and I get to pay forward the kindness and support so many people gave me while I was in the early years of recovery and scared to death that I would suffer night terrors, panic attacks, and uncontrollable anxiety for the rest of my life."

May is Jewish American Heritage Month
Learn More: https://conta.cc/431bMQB
Established in 2006, Jewish American Heritage Month (JAHM) commemorates more than 350 years of Jewish history in America. It is an opportunity to celebrate the many ways Jews have positively impacted all facets of American society.

Jewish Americans have been at the forefront of many of this nation's seminal moments — fighting for the Union in the Civil War, marching and advocating early and often for civil rights, and suffrage for women. Likewise, Jewish Americans have served in government and the military, won Nobel prizes, headed universities and corporations, advanced medicine, created and performed in enduring works of performing and visual art, written great American novels, and become emblems of justice as members of the Supreme Court.

As we celebrate these accomplishments, we must also recognize the bigotry and violence that Jews have faced throughout history, and that shamefully persist to this day. Hate crimes, including those derived from antisemitism, can have devastating physical, psychological and societal consequences.

Throughout our history, generations of Jewish immigrants fleeing persecution have sought the promise of freedom and opportunity to start life anew in America. This month, we recognize the enduring faith, perseverance, and resilience of the Jewish people and pay tribute to the many ways that Jewish Americans enrich our society.
