Our Story
The c3: Center for Conscious Creativity was founded in 2004 by a core group of media professionals, artists, and creatives dedicated to using the power of the arts, media, new media tech, and storytelling to transform on an individual, social and global level — SIE: Social Impact Entertainment. The mission of c3 is to “Create a Better Future through Arts, Media and Storytelling.” The organization is a 501(c)3 made up of volunteers who produce the annual STATE OF THE ARTS symposium and other workshops, concerts, screenings and activities relevant to the mission. The c3 also hosts a website, publishes a newsletter, and offers a c3 Fiscal Sponsor Project Partner program for projects in alignment with the mission of c3. To date, they’ve successfully helped sponsor the creation of three new 501(c)3’s, supported funding for several arts projects and educational programs designed for social impact and making a better world. The organization operates out of Los Angeles Center Studios and is sponsored by Vortex Immersion Media for access to access and produce events and projects in the Vortex Dome CineTheater, and the c3 also supports an AIR: Artist In Residence program in the dome. Additionally, the c3 collaborates with The Millennium Project, a global futurist think tank made up of members around the world, to address and bring awareness to 15 Global Challenges. Recent activities include the creation of the ART MATTERS SALONS.
