The Contentment Foundation Teacher wellbeing shapes our children's future

Support this work: https://www.contentment.org/givenow We believe that true happiness starts from within.

The Contentment Foundation is leading the way humanity understands, cultivates, and studies wellbeing. We share humanity’s most effective wellness practices through our three branches – childhood education, adult development, and scientific research. We look carefully at where science, philosophy, and human wellness intersect. Then, we provide the world with philosophically grounded and scientific

ally evidenced practices that upgrade the mind, heart, and spirit. Simply put, we find humanity’s greatest treasures and share them with the world. We envision a world where all people realize that they are complete just as they are. We are inspired to build communities that take an active role in reaching their fullest potential by practicing scientifically evidenced, philosophically grounded, and psychologically powerful wellbeing practices. There are many organizations focused on alleviating external poverty, a lack of essential resources like food, water, shelter, education, and safety. The Contentment Foundation focuses on alleviating internal poverty, a poverty of the mind, heart, and spirit. We help children and adults cultivate a sense of internal and indestructible abundance that is not affected by the external world. Our mission is to eliminate internal poverty worldwide, offering the world sustainable solutions toward experiencing indestructible abundance, always. We have heard an endless number of things that we should do to maximize our happiness – but why is it that in the pursuit of happiness, it always seems to be just outside of our grasp? When we normally talk about happiness, what we usually mean is that we are looking for more of something – more money, more friends, more time, and more success. Our current ideals of happiness depend on constantly having more, which is neither sustainable nor possible. The great news is that for over 5,000 years, our ancestors have been focusing on contentment, a feeling of completeness and enoughness with what is present right now. Contentment is a sustainable form of wellbeing, just like solar power is a sustainable source of energy. At the deepest core of human wellness is a sense of profound contentment, and uncovering it for yourself is your birthright. Contentment is a central theme in some of the most influential spiritual, philosophical, and scientific works in ancient and modern history. It is what most people really mean when they talk about true ‘happiness’. In fact, when our team searched through the world’s greatest philosophies, we found that they talk about contentment a lot, but rarely talk about happiness. The Contentment Foundation promotes these ideas through child and adult-centered curricula, and studies them scientifically. In the end, we are simply translators that are taking the best of our human legacy and interpreting it for the modern mind. We’re not reinventing the wellbeing wheel – we’re making it accessible for everyone.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and this is exactly why this work matters 💙

At Henry Lord Community School, Dr. Aimee Bronhard shares how our 4 Pillars of Wellbeing training gives teachers what they actually need.

When staff feel truly seen, they do not just accept a ‘program” or ‘curriculum’, they embody it.

They champion it and it becomes part of their everyday. And it’s shared with students in their classrooms.

This month and every month, help bring this experience to more teachers and schools.

“We shape our tools, and thereafter our tools shape us.”

So the question becomes:

What kind of human beings is this world shaping, and what kind of education might help us meet the future with deeper wisdom and compassion?

"I use it every single day." ✨ That's Carla, an incredible educator whose wellbeing has been transformed by our 4 Pillars of Wellbeing training.

Our program isn't just another workshop; it's about equipping teachers like Carla with simple, practical tools they can actually use, every single day. Before, daily challenges felt overwhelming. Now, Carla feels calmer, thinks clearer, and handles her classroom with renewed ease.

This continuous support extends far beyond the training room, empowering educators to thrive. Because when teachers feel truly supported, their impact ripples through the entire school community, benefiting every student.

Our beloved Madame Deki from ELC High School in Bhutan shares a beautiful reflection on the community pillar within their school.

In a world filled with uncertainty, where conflicts can arise so easily.. one pillar stands out more than ever: community.

A space where people feel safe to share their thoughts, their emotions, their truth.

And it begins with the teachers.
The ones who hold space with care, presence, and compassion.

From there, it ripples
to the students,
into the classrooms,
and across the entire school.

Because when people feel seen and heard,
they don’t just grow individually…

they grow together 🤍

One supported teacher can change hundreds of lives.
Start with one. Join us 💙

This is what keeps teachers going…

even on the hard days.

even when they may never fully know the impact.

It’s the moment a student comes back and says: “you helped me.”

Maybe it was something small like:
a conversation,
a moment of patience,
a time they felt seen.

But it mattered.

We exist to support educators feel calmer and clearer so they can show up more fully for their students and their school.

Because when teachers flourish, everything in a school changes for the better.

Will you join us in supporting 11,000+ teachers (and counting) everyday? 💙
