Last Chance for Animals (LCA) Last Chance for Animals is an international non-profit animal rights organization, founded in 1985.

We are known as the "FBI of Animal Rights" and conduct undercover investigations around the world. Last Chance for Animals (LCA) is an international, non-profit organization dedicated to eliminating animal exploitation through education, investigations, legislation and media attention. LCA believes that animals are sentient creatures who exist for their own reasons independent of their service to humans and therefore opposes the use of animals in food, clothing production, scientific experimentation, and entertainment. Instead, LCA promotes a cruelty-free lifestyle and the ascription of rights to non-human beings.

✴️PROTEST AGAINST THE INDUSTRY HILLS CHARITY* RODEO

Please protest the major rodeo of the year in the Los Angeles area! We need a huge turn out for the animals.

⚠️This is a "charity" rodeo - but there is no charity offered for the animals, who are used and abused for entertainment.

✴️Parking:
To avoid paying for the event parking (cash only), you can use 599-501 Ruthcrest Ave to find the closest residential parking. It's an easy 10-minute walk, somewhat uphill, so if you need to, please arrange to meet frineds on Ruthcrest Ave and carpool into the event center together.

✴️Protest material:
Signs and banners will be provided but you're welcome to bring your own. Megaphones and drums are highly encouraged.

Rodeos are extremely cruel and violent towards animals. This so-called “sport” is no more than terrified animals trying to get away from something that is causing them fear, discomfort, and pain.

While at the protest - please do not engage with the rodeo goers who are clearly entrenched in the rodeo and the abuse of animals. Save your voices for the first timers and those who may truly not know what takes place at rodeos.

LCA is proud to work alongside our sister organization, Animal Liberation Wave (ALW), to fight animal cruelty in South Korea and create meaningful change for animals.

Together, LCA and ALW have:
🐾 Worked to end the dog meat trade through investigations, lobbying, and public awareness campaigns.
🐂 Exposed cruelty in South Korea’s bullfighting industry and the samgyetang (chicken) industry.
🐟 Exposed animal abuse at South Korea’s largest ice fishing festival.

Through investigations, advocacy, and public education, LCA and ALW are shining a light on animal cruelty and working to build a more compassionate future for animals in South Korea. ❤️

Jane Goodall was a powerful advocate for the rights of non-human primates. Today her legacy through the work of the Jane Goodall Institute, who have called on York University to retire nine rhesus macaques in invasive brain research, exposed by LCA in an undercover investigation released earlier this year.

Six of York's nine macaques have spent over 17 years at York. The investigation documented the macaques suffering from stereotypic behaviours, social isolation, restraint collars, brain implants, and water deprivation.

LCA is immediately calling on York University to its NHP research and send the York 9 to sanctuary.

🦍 LULINGU WAS RESCUED IN 2016. TODAY, SHE IS FREE AND A MOTHER.

Lulingu was rescued as an orphan after being taken from her family and sold into the illegal wildlife trade.

After years of care and rehabilitation, she returned to the wild in Virunga National Park in 2024.
And this year, she gave birth to a healthy baby girl.

❤️Ten years ago, Lulingu was an orphan. Today, she is raising her own baby in the wild.

This , we’re celebrating Lulingu - and the extraordinary second chance that brought her back to the wild.

In March 2024, LCA released an undercover investigation exposing animal suffering at a hamster breeding mill. This mill breeds and sells tens of thousands of hamsters annually.

Mill hamsters are kept in small, overcrowded, soiled cages with minimal shavings for burrowing. Female and male hamsters are repeatedly used for breeding. Hamsters who are sick, injured, overbred, and deemed ugly are routinely killed.

Hamsters are sensitive and intelligent individuals with complex care needs; however, hamsters are commonly bought as “starter pets” for children. The hamster industry exists to supply mass numbers of animals to the consumer.

HAMSTER MILLS ARE SIMILAR TO THE PUPPY MILL INDUSTRY.
