Last Chance for Animals (LCA)

Last Chance for Animals (LCA) Last Chance for Animals is an international non-profit animal rights organization, founded in 1985.

We are known as the "FBI of Animal Rights" and conduct undercover investigations around the world. Last Chance for Animals (LCA) is an international, non-profit organization dedicated to eliminating animal exploitation through education, investigations, legislation and media attention. LCA believes that animals are sentient creatures who exist for their own reasons independent of their service to

humans and therefore opposes the use of animals in food, clothing production, scientific experimentation, and entertainment. Instead, LCA promotes a cruelty-free lifestyle and the ascription of rights to non-human beings.

❗YORK UNIVERSITY PRIMATE LAB EXPOSED❗

An undercover investigation by Last Chance for Animals exposes the suffering of nine rhesus macaques used in neuroscience research at York University in Toronto.

For nine months, an LCA investigator worked inside the facility, documenting the conditions firsthand.

Footage reveals:
– Macaques with cranial implants and restraint collars
– Long-term social isolation
– The effects of water deprivation
– Repeated brain and eye implant surgeries

Veterinary records show years of invasive experimentation on the same animals.

Today is - and we are asking for your help.

One year ago Billy and Tina were secretly removed from the Los Angeles Zoo and sent to the Tulsa Zoo despite overwhelming public calls for sanctuary.

Tina’s health is now declining at 60 years old, and Billy continues to struggle with the psychological damage caused by decades in captivity.

Billy, Tina, and all elephants, belong in the wild - not behind bars. Give them the sanctuary they deserve.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

LCA is looking for volunteers in Tulsa, OK, who are willing to peacefully protest at the Tulsa Zoo, with a focus on the elephants.

Anyone who is interested in volunteering can send an email to: [email protected]. LCA can supply any needed protest materials, answer general questions, and give protest advice.

Here are some basic tips to get started:
• Create a Facebook event page to get the word out.
• Protest at the zoo entrance.
• Tell your local newspaper, TV news station, and radio station about your protest.
• Be polite and respectful; do not engage with anti-protesters.
• Keep focused and stay strong. Remember that change does not happen overnight and you are there for the animals.
• Take photos of your protest, post on social media, and tag LCA.

Thank you for taking action for the animals.

For over four decades, Chris DeRose has been a leader in the animal rights movement, and an inspiration and consultant to countless individuals and groups dedicated to the animal cause. In 1984, he founded Last Chance for Animals (LCA), an international, nonprofit animal advocacy organization focused on investigating, exposing, and ending animal exploitation.

Through years of activism and countless investigations, Chris realized that people often felt disconnected from the issue because it felt distant. He wanted to make it personal and help people see that the animals in labs feel pain. Chris’s vision for LCA was to expose that truth, take direct action, and bring compassion into the public spotlight.

From protests to groundbreaking investigations, LCA began leading the fight to end animal testing and protect every animal’s right to live free from cruelty.

PROTEST THE JURUPA VALLEY RODEO TONIGHT - SATURDAY, JUNE 6, 2026. 6PM - 8PM

The 2026 Jurupa Valley Pro Rodeo will exploit animals for family entertainment at the Rick Thompson Arena in Jurupa Valley, California (45 miles east of downtown Los Angeles).

This rodeo will include events such as bull riding, calf roping, and bronc riding. Each of these events is tragically abusive and injurious to the animals involved. Bulls, calves, and horses are purposefully caused to unnaturally buck or run from harm, all in the name of entertainment. (https://juruparodeo.com/)

Please join local activists on behalf of the animals that suffer in rodeos.

WHEN:
Saturday, June 6, 2026
6:00pm to 8:00pm

WHERE:
Rick Thompson Arena
8629 Jurupa St
Jurupa Valley, CA 92509

MEETING SPOT:
Meet at the main entrance

PARKING:
The entrance to the parking area at the Jurpa Middle School athletic field will be at the corner of Galena St. and Agate St. The cost is $15, but paying in cash will get you a $5 discount.
