As Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month comes to a close, we want to remind AAPI students that college is for you!

For high school seniors planning their next step, the California Community Colleges system is expanding access through its Vision 2030 plan, including a goal to increase AAPI student enrollment by 25% by 2030. Today, AAPI students already make up about 11% of enrollment statewide, and that number continues to grow!

It’s not too late to start your journey! Community college can be your pathway to a great career, university transfer, or a future that fits your goals. Applications and enrollment are still open!

Check out these AAPI-specific postsecondary scholarship opportunities: https://bit.ly/4x7S8QW Your next chapter can start now.

🎓 As April comes to a close, we’re reflecting on the importance of honoring and uplifting Indigenous communities, not just this month, but all year long.

American Indian students represent about 1% of the U.S. population, yet only 0.37% of bachelor’s degree holders. These numbers reflect real barriers, from financial challenges to systemic inequities.

At UNITE-LA, we’re committed to helping students navigate the path to college. For nearly 20 years, we’ve supported young people across Los Angeles with financial aid guidance, resources and one-on-one support.

Whether students plan to transfer or enter the workforce, community colleges offer affordable pathways to degrees and career-ready certificates across nearly every industry. And it’s not too late!
