ROC-LA offers free training in fine dining serving, bartending. ROC-LA will help to both train and place restaurant workers into good jobs.

👉🏽Tomorrow we start our journey in demanding a safer LA to all by submitting public comment at the neighborhood council.

Why public comment?
- it’s a way for people to share our views and needs with our local government
- commenting helps decision makers determine what to prioritize in neighborhoods

So if this is something that you feel strongly about, I encourage you to join us tomorrow night.

👉🏽 also happening tomorrow: our friends at will be occupying city hall starting at 8am !! The world is turning their attention to Los Angeles for the 2028 games- we need to ensure our tourism workers are healthy AND housed! Click on their profile for more details.

On July 1, the Minimum Wage in the City of L.A. and L.A. County both went up!

For the City of L.A., the minimum wage is now $17.28. L.A. County is now $17.27.

If you're paid the minimum wage, check your paystubs to make sure you're being paid the correct amount. And if you have any questions, DM to talk to an organizer.

Fill out our survey to help us understand what
information workers have access to, how clearly that
information is communicated to the workers, and how
easily (if at all) workers can track the charges on their
paycheck.

We can use this info to equip workers to fight back
against this new form of wage theft....cuz knowledge is
power!
