Dogtown Artists United (DAU) is a non profit organization born in Venice Beach from the love for arts and culture and with the intent of producing unique art events in non-traditional spaces and alternative urban locations. started producing events in 2011 in Venice Beach, in occasion of the monthly Venice Art Crawl, by taking over abandoned or unused building, properties or parking lots in Venice

Beach and transforming them into pop-art venues. landed in Venice beach landmarks such as 811 and the Blue House, both on Ocean Front Walk, Windward Ave and Hampton Dr. Since 2014, D.A.U. has been producing the Venice Afterburn 2-day festival (coproduction with Venice Art Crawl & Chamber of Commerce until 2018), which has later become an official Burning Man regional event and takes place outdoors on Windward Plaza, a stretch along the beach of over 2 acres, with art installations, fire art and art cars.

Hey Community!
Artist Tigre Mashaal-Lively needs your help. While they received a Honorarium Grant to build their art piece, 'Facing the Fearbeast', at Burning Man 2022, unfortunately the grant is not enough for the full project so they need to make up the rest via crowdfunding.
If you can donate, please do so, otherwise please help spreading the word by re-posting this!

Dear community, we were planning to release the 2020 dates for the Venice Afterburn at the end of March, so here they are: October 30, 31 and November 1st.
As of now, noone knows what the situation with Covid-19 will be then, but we want to be optimistic and release the dates which we had booked long before this outbreak.
As we do not have ticket presales, it is a lot easier for us to postpone the decision until after the summer.
However, since we are not been able to hold any fundraisers for a while, we might have to downscale to only 1 or 2 days of event.
In the meantime, we invite everyone to be safe and stay home as much as possible, the sooner we all understand how serious this is, the sooner we will be able to defeat it.
We love you!
