Today is Navajo Code Talkers Day📞
During WWII, the U.S. Marines operated the largest and most important, coded operations. More than 400 Diné (Navajo) speakers carried out vital missions, using their native language as an unbreakable code. From 1942 to the end of the war in the Pacific, Navajo code talkers were used in every major operation that involved the Marines.

Their service reminds us that every veteran’s story is part of our shared history, and that courage, sacrifice, and service can take many forms.🇺🇸

Today, we recognize Korean War Armistice Day and honor the brave service members who fought in a conflict that shaped the course of modern history. As one of the first major events of the Cold War, the Korean War had a lasting impact on the world, yet is too often remembered as the "Forgotten War."

We honor the courage, sacrifice, and resilience of those who served, and especially those who gave their lives in defense of freedom. Their service will never be forgotten.
