Invest in Peace. For Everyone, Everywhere, Every Day. 🕊️

On International Day of Peace, we reflect on the hope of a future where peace is possible for everyone, everywhere.

Today, we especially honor those currently serving and the veterans in our care, as well as veterans around the world who served and sacrificed in the hope of a more peaceful future.

May we continue working toward a world where peace is not simply an ideal, but a reality for all.🤍🌎

Today, we celebrate the 90th birthday of The American Legion, an organization dedicated to serving veterans, their families, and their communities. 🇺🇸

Today, on the 25th anniversary of 9/11, we honor the lives lost and remember the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice that day.
We also remember the service members who answered the call in the years that followed, serving with courage and commitment. 🇺🇸

A day that changed our nation forever. Twenty-five years later, we remember the 2,977 lives lost and all those whose lives were forever changed by September 11. We will never forget. ❤️💙

Today is Navajo Code Talkers Day📞
During WWII, the U.S. Marines operated the largest and most important, coded operations. More than 400 Diné (Navajo) speakers carried out vital missions, using their native language as an unbreakable code. From 1942 to the end of the war in the Pacific, Navajo code talkers were used in every major operation that involved the Marines.

Their service reminds us that every veteran’s story is part of our shared history, and that courage, sacrifice, and service can take many forms.🇺🇸

Today, on Coast Guard Day, we honor the courageous men and women of the United States Coast Guard for their unwavering commitment to protecting our nation and saving lives.
We are especially proud to recognize NDVets Case Manager Wendy Flores, whose service to others continues long after her time in uniform. Every day, Wendy brings that same dedication and compassion to supporting the veterans in our care.
Thank you, Wendy, for your service to our country and to our veteran community. Happy Coast Guard Day! ⚓🇺🇸
