1) Get the word out.

The garden offers seating areas for conversation and contemplation, a butterfly garden for meditation and relaxation, and paths. Mulch and compost are available for gardeners as well as local residents. We have established a unique and very special Community Garden on school grounds. The Garden serves the school children as a learning space, and a bridge to the community. A co-habited, co-operativ

e space where food is grown and shared by folks of diverse ages, ethnicities, socio-economic backgrounds...

We are very proud of this work!. We commit to gardening with organic best practices in mind; we are proud we are able to make our garden accessible to people of all abilities (thanks for the help of the Westchester Rotary); We commit to making this garden a place where one can come, enjoy, learn, share. We are looking for partners, both local and universal. Our greatest resource is us.

2) If you are local, come help us do what we are doing - building a garden. Can you think of things much more satisfying than creating a garden that will be used by THOUSANDS?!

3) Share your knowledge. Hook us up with funders, tell us what we don't know about bringing in the funding, and partners we need.

As we turn the soil for a new year, we are thrilled to have you as part of our growing community. Whether you are returning or joining us for the first time, this year promises new opportunities for growth, learning and connection.

Our mission for 2026 remains focused on cultivating not just fresh produce, but a vibrant space where members can share knowledge and a love for the outdoors.

It’s time to kick off our new membership year! We’re celebrating with a casual Brown Bag Picnic to bring everyone together for an afternoon of sun, snacks and community. We're also holding a “Seed Swap” following the picnic.

Join Daniela Roveda and the UC Master Gardeners Tree Committee for an engaging and educational pruning workshop at Emerson Avenue Community Garden. This hands-on session will cover the basics of pruning tools, safety, and techniques to help you care for trees effectively.

Participants will have the opportunity to immediately apply what they learn with guidance from experienced Master Gardeners while contributing to the care and maintenance of our Garden's fruit trees. This free workshop is open to the public and welcomes volunteers to assist with pruning and cleanup.
