Adopt Puma Pugalicious! ❤️

Just look at this little chap! Only 3 months old and 4 pounds of pure Pugaliciousness!

Puma has a cleft palate and an extra special crooked tail, but that hasn’t stopped him from being a playful little puppy who is ready to take on the world with a forever family!

This little guy will need a special human who understands his cleft life and is prepared for the extra care and learning that comes with raising a cleft pup. He’s worth every bit of it.

When you turn up for your first photoshoot and realise nobody told you what to do with your face! 😂 Maximilian Duke is giving us shock and just a smidge of concern in every pic. He is serving us the face of a man who’s just been told the price of biscuits has gone up!😂

But behind those wide eyes is the sweetest boy you ever did meet!

Max’s journey began on the streets of Mexico, where he was found as a stray before becoming a Roadog. His foster family tells us he settled in almost immediately, is completely potty trained (not a single accident, what a star!), and gets along wonderfully with the four other dogs in his foster home.

He LOVES his people, will happily roll over for a belly rub, and when he gets excited, he does the cutest little happy hops. He’s got the personality of a supermodel, even if the facial expressions need a little work! 😂

Max is 5 years old, gentle, friendly, good with all kids and dogs, and already trained. He hasn’t been tested with cats just yet. This handsome boy is looking for who will love him, spoil him, and reassure him that whatever shocking news he thinks he’s just heard, everything is going to be alright. ❤️

Mondays, are we right? 😂❤️

Meet our newest Roadog, Edgar Ruffington! This adorable 14 week old English Bulldog puppy should be getting up to all sorts of puppy mischief, but instead we’re worrying about his heart. 💔

Edgar has been diagnosed with moderate aortic valve dysplasia, a congenital heart defect that means his aortic valve hasn’t formed normally and is moderately narrowed. This makes his little heart work harder to pump blood, and there are concerns about potentially life threatening complications down the road.

He’s starting medication to help reduce the workload on his heart, and next week we’re off to see another cardiologist to explore his options and whether surgery might be possible. 🤞🏼

His prognosis isn’t great at this time, and we have a long road of testing ahead. For now, we’re taking things one step at a time, keeping a close eye on our little lad and making sure he gets the care he needs.
🚨Please do not apply to adopt Edgar at this time! (We know he is so cute!) We need to get through his testing and find out more about what the future may hold before making any plans.

We may be overloaded with medical dogs, but how could we say no to this little face? He’s only just a baby, and we’re hoping to find the best possible path forward for him. ❤️

Journey spent her life being used by a greeder to pump out puppies for profit. She was dumped at a shelter heavily pregnant, and just hours away from giving birth. She needed an emergency C-section shortly after we pulled her. This is the reality of greeding. Time and time again these moms are used and neglected for the sake of money.

After everything her body had been through, she still had babies to care for. And she was an amazing mama. But, toward the end especially Journey was over this breeding cycle and ready to be free.

Now, all of Journey’s babies have found amazing homes of their own. But Journey is still waiting for someone to choose her.

It’s hard not to think about how little her life must have meant to the person who discarded her. But Journey is so much more than a mama dog. She’s a tiny little shadow who wants to be wherever her person is. She loves cuddling up to sleep, sunbathing, going for walks, and discovering toys she may never have had the chance to play with before. Balls are her current favorite, with squeaky toys coming in a close second.

She’s super dog friendly, doesn’t seem interested in cats, and is slowly learning how to just be a dog. She’s still working on potty training and being comfortable alone, so she’ll need a family who understands that she has a little more learning and growing to do.

Every day, she’s becoming more confident, playful, and comfortable in her new life. Her babies got their happily ever after. Now it’s time for Journey to be someone’s baby, too.

Sweet Caroline went to the vet this week and is now fully healed after a complicated tail amputation!

As you can see, her tail was beyond saving. It has been neglected and ignored for so long our only choice was amputation. The surgeon said it looked like a twisty rollercoaster inside. We can’t imagine how uncomfortable she had been all this time. She is also blind, but she is incredibly resillient and you don’t even notice because of her confidence.

Now she is full recovered and feeling amazing. Her foster Kimberly said that she is really doing so well has pretty much taught herself to fully navigate the house and small outside area that she is allowed to roam safely. Shes affectionate and smart and so ready for her happy ending.

Since she is cleared medically we have moved her to adoptable on the website and are now taking apps! ❤️ Now, the final step is finding her a fab home!

It’s $5 Friday and we have a new Roadog who could use a little extra love! ❤️

Meet our new girl, Maie Lilylotus. This poor girl has been failed by the people who were supposed to care for her. She was bred by a Greeder and has had multiple C-sections, including one that appears to have been recent. Somehow, she ended up out on the streets, nearly hit by a car and absolutely terrified.

One of our vets found her and reached out to us. Maie was microchipped, so we contacted the person listed as her owner, but they didn’t want her back and didn’t even know when she had gone missing. So, Maie became a Roadog!

She was covered in fleas and ticks and needed emergency surgery for a severe hernia. She was also spayed while we were able to operate, so she will never have to go through breeding again. ❤️

Our awesome volunteer Devan went to visit her at the vet because she was so scared, and this sweet girl melted right into her and started asking for belly rubs. 🥹 It breaks our hearts that dogs can be failed so completely and still have so much love to give. Maie is just a gentle soul who wants to be loved.

Her emergency care came with a bill of about $3,000, so we would really appreciate a little help with her medical. We’re so happy she’s a Roadog now, and we can’t wait for her to know nothing but endless belly rubs from here on out.

Claudia Prettypea has been at the hospital since we saved her from the shelter. She finally got airway surgery and spayed so she got cleared to go to foster!

Claudia is shy but has the cutest puppy personality. She has been with the lovable lemons all week pottering around the yard, trying to make a friend and chewing up all the cardboard she can find (she is just helping open up the wishlist items! Right?😂)

She may be a congenital mess but she truly has the sweetest little soul and we can’t wait to find her a forever home that can properly care for her and give her the life she deserves.
