The 2026 Backpacking Super Trip to the Ten Lakes Basin in Yosemite National Park was a challenging and memorable experience for everyone in attendance. Special thanks to Domenico Hueso for bringing his guitar and leading us in singing every night.

On Day 7 of summer camp at Camp Cherry Valley on Catalina Island, Troop 121 was awarded with the Honor Troop Award for being the most outstanding troop of week 5. Troop 121 scored 381 out of 400 points and in addition to taking on an ambitious merit badge program managed to complete a service project, serve as colored guard, serve as chaplain aide for many meals and participate in the Honor Trail, Highland Games and perform a skit in the closing campfire. Congratulations to all our Scouts on a job well done.

On Day 6 of summer camp at Camp Cherry Valley in Catalina Island Troop 121 scouts scored a perfect 100. Troop 121 had the honor of raising the colors in the morning. The day culminated with the closing campfire. Special thanks to Senior Patrol Leader Ronald Olivas and Assistant Senior Patrol Leader Edward Weissen for doing an excellent job leading Troop 121 this past week.

On Day 5 of summer camp on Catalina Island Troop 121 scored a 99 on camp inspection and had fun participating in the Highlander Games. The evening culminated with the Honor Trail night hike where Scouts reflected on the meaning of the Scout oath and law and its importance significance in our everyday life.

On Day 4 of summer camp at Catalina Island, Troop 121 scouts hiked 4 miles to Emerald Bay and enjoyed a refreshing soak. After a delicious MRE lunch the Scouts canoed 2 miles back to camp. The evening culminated with movie night under the stars.

On day 3 of summer camp at Catalina Island Troop 121 scouts improved their camp inspection score and worked on their merit badge classes. During free time, they went to the archery range and also went kayaking and swimming. After dinner, the troop completed a service project at the nature area. The evening concluded with a delicious peach cobbler dessert.
