🎧 Film scoring requires a different kind of listening.

During the RISE sessions, students learned how professional musicians record music for film, TV, and video games — a process that requires precision, flexibility, and teamwork.

Recording cues, following click tracks, and adapting quickly are all part of the studio experience.

Skills like these prepare young musicians for careers in the modern recording industry.

The heart of RISE: our students. 🌟

This year’s RISE program brought together 63 talented musicians from Southern California and across the country.

A majority of our participants are Black, Latine, and ethnically diverse musicians, reflecting the incredible range of voices shaping the future of music and film. Each student earned their place through auditions and weeks of preparation with their mentors.

The future of music is bright — and we have proof. 🎶

🎬 A dream recording space.

RISE participants had the rare opportunity to record at the Eastwood Scoring Stage at Warner Bros. Studios — one of Hollywood’s most iconic scoring stages.
This is where countless film scores have come to life.

For many students, it was their first time experiencing a professional recording session, learning how orchestras record music for film with click tracks, engineers, and producers.

Moments like this are possible thanks to the support of our community and partners who believe in creating opportunities for young musicians.

✨ What happens when young musicians meet Hollywood?

The RISE Film Scoring Orchestra 2026 brought together 63 talented musicians ages 14–27 to experience what it’s like to record a film score in a world-class studio.

Through the Musicians at Play Career Pathways Apprenticeship Program, students collaborated with professional studio musicians and mentors while recording at the legendary Eastwood Scoring Stage at Warner Bros. Studios.

Under the direction of Music Director and Conductor Anthony Parnther, and Assistant Conductor Raphaela Lacerda, participants stepped into the real world of film scoring.

And this year’s program was extra special — celebrating America’s 250th anniversary with music by American composers. 🇺🇸

Stay tuned as we share moments from this incredible experience!
