Good morning Getting F.I.T. Family. I pray that all is well as we embark upon this Truth Be Told Thursday. Today we further explore our focus of the week: The Power of Praise.
Truth be told, “Praise is not a feeling; it is a force.” Praise is a force that positively impacts us holistically.
While many of us are familiar with the spiritual effect of praise, we are unfamiliar with the way praise impacts and enhances our physical being. Praising God impacts the human body by shifting the nervous system in a way that triggers changes in brain chemistry, ultimately influencing all other body systems.
Additionally, when we engage in praise, the emotional and spiritual focus stimulates the release of dopamine and endorphins, which naturally elevate mood and reduce the perception of physical pain.
You may have heard the lyrics: “When praises go up, blessings come down.” Consider this: when Praises go up, Stress levels come down.
Having contemplated all its benefits and the power of praise, I encourage you with this scripture:
Psalm 150
“Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens. Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness. Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre, praise him with timbrel and dancing, praise him with the strings and pipe; praise him with the clash of cymbals; praise him with resounding cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.”
AMEN.
Happy Thursday!
