Taiwan's National Elections were held this past Saturday, January 13, 2024, and this Thursday, January 18 at 4PM PST, the Pacific Council is hosting a virtual webinar to explore the elections implications for both the United States and China.

Join Dr. Syaru Shirley Lin, founder of the Center for Asia-Pacific Resilience and Innovation (CAPRI), and Dr. Harry Harding, University Professor Emeritus and Professor Emeritus of Public Policy and a Faculty Senior Fellow in the Miller Center of Public Affairs at the University of Virginia, for an insightful discussion on the dynamics of Taiwan's National Elections. 🌏

On January 22, the Pacific Council will be hosting a Fireside Chat with Yaroslav Trofimov, the author of "Our Enemies Will Vanish". Trofimov is the chief foreign-affairs correspondent of The Wall Street Journal and was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in international reporting for two consecutive years, in 2022 and 2023. He will be joined by Prof. Kahn. of USC as they discuss his most recent book.
