May is National Foster Care Month. National Foster Care Month is a time to acknowledge the 463,000 American children and youth in foster care and the family members, foster parents, volunteers, mentors, child welfare professionals, and policymakers who help them find permanent homes and connections.

At the hear of CYFC, our mission is creating a culture where foster youth will no longer be synonymous with academic deficiencies, poor high school graduation rates and the need for being designated a sub-population will be eliminated.

Throughout this month, we will share with you foster care related statistic, ways on how you can support someone impacted by the child welfare system, and ways in which CYFC is living our mission and impacting change.
