The Schola will sing the First Mass of Christmas at Saint Anthony of Padua Church in Gardena, Sunday, December 24th with “Carols and Choruses” at 5pm and the Mass itself at 5:30. It is the Children’s Mass of the Parish and we are being especially hosted by the pastor Monsignor Sal Pilato. This will be the adult choir of the Schola Cantorum of the Pacific. I’m looking forward to playing the organ and being with the people of the Parish and many of our choir families. The Schola’s Choirmaster is now St Anthony School alumnus Vince Bastidas. The principal Cantrice who leads the people in congregational singing at our Masses, is parishioner Christina van Ingen. A number of choir alumni will join in the Carols and Choruses. I look forward to seeing the families!
